Little Luna County, New Mexico, among the top three--if not the poorest--county in the nation, is creating a cross-Mexican border health care program. The program is now in the planning stage. Don Brickner of the Deming Headlight staff covered the story locally. He characterizes the program as "binational"....

Whether they provide the health care services in the U.S., or in Mexico, U.S. taxpayers get to pay for it. I liked the comment about how it would be cheaper to just provide them with a helicopter to take them to a hospital in Ciudad Juarez. Wonder how the county taxpayers are liking this plan.
Translation - US Taxpayer funds for helping Mexican citizens...

Them boys in Deming had best stick to what they do best: hosting the annual Deming Chili Cookoff and Fart-Lighting Contest.
The making of agreements with foreign governments is given to the Federal Government only.
Obviously the government of Mexico would have to agree with this plan. Otherwise the government of Luna County, New Mexico would be kidnapping the citizens of Mexico.
And will the emergency workers be verifying that the patients have a Pass Port prior to taking them to a US hospital?
