Sakhalin seismologists continue to register earth shocks measuring 3-4 on the Richter scale which occur every 1-1.5 hours. According to the latest data, the earthquakes epicenter is moving towards the regional centre Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk city.

Wonder what another earthquake will do to all those oil and gas facilities there now. Sakhalin is located on the edge of a plate so it would be susceptible to quakes.

I think thats it! Claiming the North Pole was the last straw. You dont mess with Sandy Clause! Anyone with the technology to be everywhere in a single night could cause earthquakes.

Is this what they call swarm earthquakes? The type that can precede a volcanic eruption?
Yeah, looks like a period of natural disasters - and both of them are really quite untypical for Russia.
