MINNEAPOLIS The six Muslim leaders who were removed from a US Airways flight last fall after passengers thought they were acting suspiciously will not include those passengers in their lawsuit against the airline and police, an attorney for the imams said Wednesday. A motion to amend the complaint to include the names of airline employees and police officers was entered Tuesday in U.S. District Court, attorney Frederick Goetz said. "We've identified the people we think are responsible," he said. No passengers were named. The imams, who were handcuffed and questioned, say the airline discriminated against them and violated their civil rights during the November incident at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. A passenger raised concerns about the imams through a note passed to a flight attendant. Witnesses also said the imams made anti-American comments about the war in Iraq The imams have said three of the men said their evening prayers in the airport terminal before boarding the plane, and that they entered the plane separately, except for one member who is blind and needed a guide. The men did not sit together. The original decision to include passengers in the lawsuit led to concerns that people would be reluctant to report suspicious behavior for fear they would be sued. But last week, lawmakers in the U.S. Congress reached a deal on a homeland security bill to include language that would give immunity from lawsuits to people who report suspicious behavior. The bill was crafted in response to the imams' case. An attorney for the imams has said the lawsuit's intent was not to go after passengers who raise valid security concerns. Goetz said the amended complaint had "absolutely nothing to do" with the action in Congress.

LOL!!
Isn’t that considerate of them. Pass me a barf bag.
I thought a local news report mentioned that these fine flying fellow imams had just left a convention on dealing with the media on behalf of Muslim causes. The report strongly implied that the subsequent airport antics were part of a PR stunt just after this symposium. That angle, if indeed accurate, remains part of the story, but I haven’t heard more about it since the first days after the “incident.”
Will CAIR apologize to those whose names it sullied, having now found they had nothing to do with whatever they are seeeeething about?
Cair? Cair doesn’t Cair...........
Doesn’t matter, the damage is done.
How “nice” of them. Like Iran’s hostages they were going to put on trial but that they “pardoned” and released instead.
If you can’t win in court, it makes the best sort of show trial, proclaim their absolute guilt and then proclaim your own greatness for “forgiving” their crime against you.
That's what I understood, also, and it will be tough for the muzzies lawyers to get a good case against the flight crew. Serves 'em right!
Allahu fubar!
Taking a flight soon. I chose US Airways specifically because of this suit and because the pilots and crew took the proper actions under very suspicious circumstances. I, for one have not forgotten about 911 and know they are very capable and willing to do it again... if given the chance. Not on my watch. I don’t care if they threaten to sue or intimidate. And the American public won’t put up with this either. I just hope this goes to court and ‘discovery’ can take it’s course.
I’m with you buddy . I see some funny stuff ,I’ll take action , screw Akbar and his buddies. Any 5 year old street kid can see that the Imans were setting this up . Islam has underestimated the “regular” American citizen. They better watch out people don’t start metering out their own justice on their asses.
There are more subscribers to this website than there are members of CAIR...
How about John and Jane Doe suing these jackasses for causing delays and missed connecting flights?
CAIR is funded by the Saudi’s. It only has about 2000 actual members according to one radio report. Think it was Medveds show.
I still feel the passengers should have beat all of them to within an inch of their lives in the process of “securing” them.
The scumbags wanted to play games and make a point.
Deport the demons NOW!!!
LLS
CAIR will still sue Americans who report suspicious behavior because they insist that the only way to determine if the whistle blower truly is acting in good faith is to file a lawsuit:
