UPDATE — 11:30 AM:
ARTICLE SNIPPET: “The bomb squad detonated a bomb today out near Trent Ave. and Idaho Rd. in Newman Lake. The bomb looked like a pop can tightly wrapped in fabric and tape and had a fuse in it. Deputies say it was also dipped in epoxy, inside was smokeless gunpowder. The device was found by a road crew picking up trash. Deputies say the bomb could have done a lot of damage if it had gone off.”
