A man was found dead Monday in the trunk of his own car, illegally parked on a Grand Rapids street.

Victor Manious, 62, was found in the trunk of his Toyota Camry, according to a person close to his family. Manious is tied to Saint Mary and Saint Mina Coptic Orthodox Church on Kalamazoo Avenue.

Police have been searching Manious' Gaines Township home, located in the upscale Crystal Springs subdivision. He lived there with his wife and daughter.

Investigators took two bags of evidence and a computer from the home.

Manious had been missing since Saturday.

Not to jump to conclusions, but the victim was Copt Orthodox.

“Not to jump to conclusions, but the victim was Copt Orthodox.”

And? Tons of middle-eastern Christian immigrants in Michigan. Generally speaking, there are no problems due to that faith.

There is no love lost between Copts and Muzzies. September 11 is Coptic New Year. Suspects probably from Dearbornistan.

I was carjacked a few years ago and spent a while in my trunk.

They were experienced and clocked me with a tire iron, They apparently didn’t want to chance taking me across a state line into a state with the death penalty just in case I suppose. They just left the car on a dirt road about a quarter mile from the Ohio state line.

I immediately started pulling all the tail light bulbs. If it had been a newer car I could have gotten out at one of the few stops.

Yikes! Good reason to keep an “old dependable” in the trunk.

Google. Muslims in Michigan. One and a half MILLION results.

Google. Coptic Christians in Michigan. 52.000 results.

I gather muslims in Michigan are a pain in the butt like everywhere else...

Found this:

Dear Moslem Association:

As a professor of Mechanical Engineering here at MSU I intend to protest your protest. I am offended not by cartoons, but by more mundane things like beheadings of civilians, cowardly attacks on public buildings, suicide murders, murders of Catholic priests (the latest in Turkey!), burnings of Christian churches, the continued persecution of Coptic Christians in Egypt, the imposition of Sharia law on non-Muslims, the rapes of Scandinavian girls and women(called “whores” in your culture), the murder of film directors in Holland, and the rioting and looting in Paris France.

This is what offends me, a soft-spoken person and academic, and many, many, many of my colleagues. I counsel you dissatisfied, aggressive, brutal, and uncivilized slave-trading Moslems to be very aware of this as you proceed with your infantile “protests.”

If you do not like the values of t he West — see the 1st Amendment — you are free to leave. I hope for God’s sake that most of you choose that option. Please return to your ancestral homelands and build them up yourselves instead of troubling Americans.

Cordially,

I.S. Wichman Professor of Mechanical Engineering

I was thinking about that case the other day. I did a google search and found that they had arrested 2 men, who are not muslims, but I couldn’t find anything about a trial. I remember at the time of the murders, speculaltion was that it was moslem related because the murdered man and one daughter had been so outspoken against conditions of the Copts in the mid-east.
Since there had been an arrest, I wonder why there hasn’t been a trial?

Deported?

From their names I doubt they were deported.
The two men arrested were Edward McDonald and Hamilton Sanchez, both convicted drug dealers. They were tenants of the slain family and lived upstairs in the same house. They used the family’s ATM cards and had items belonging to the family in their possession when they were arrested.

They pled not guilty and the lawyer for one of them said he wanted a speedy trial. How long has it been now and I can’t find any further info about them. Are they still being held? This seems odd to me.

A disturbing fact is that Fred Thompson has selected former Senator Spencer Abraham (a Lebanese Orthodox Christian) to be on his staff because "he understands the threat of Islam."

Fat chance. Spencer Abraham is one reason there are so many Muslims in Michican in the first place and he stated that if he were to be re-elected, (he lost), he would increase the quota for Muslims to come into this country.

Abraham Spencer was highly praised in a publication of AMC (American Muslim Council), an organization in this country much like CAIR (Council for American Islamic Relations), with connections to HAMAS.

Furthermore, he supported President Clinton's NATO bombing of innocent Serbian civilians. For an Orthodox Christian, this is disgraceful.

At first I had high-hopes for Thompson, but the more I find out, the less I am likely to support him.

Too bad. My personal preference is Duncan Hunter with perhaps Tom Tancredo as a VP.

I forgot to add that Michican is, I believe, the first state for a town to have the Islamic call to prayer five times a day.

I thought when I left Saudi Arabia after several years, I would leave that Wahhabi Muslim society behind me. Not so. During my last trip to GIANT, there she was - dressed from head to toe with only her eyes showing. It was all I could do to not shout it to everyone there, "WARNING, WARNING!!!!"
