No it has not flooded lately. We are in a severe drought.

We haven’t had rain for a long time. Drought. I think there was construction on the bridge.

Different highway 35. Interstate 35 in MN does not go through Ohio.

That was 1967. The Silver Bridge collapse was traced to a steel pin that fractured (although some think “The Mothman” had something to do with it). That type of bridge construction ceased immediately. This bridge is of a frame type, and fairly old. We probably did not inspect it thoroughly and regularly, so, unfortunately, did not consider the recent work to present any danger. As of today, all bridges of this type and built at the general time will undergo detailed examination, and our pocketbooks will be tagged for repairs.
