I received an e-mail today from the Fox News producer who booked me for the O'Reilly Factor last night. The links have been forwarded to Jim Robinson for review.
Jim asked me to start a thread with the links so that Freepers, and everyone else, could see for themselves what the fuss is about.
The Hillary Clinton stray bullet assassination comment was a very bad joke comment that someone posted two days ago. It was flagged last night after the O'Reilly Factor broadcast and was removed by a moderator. It is available for the time being in Google cache:
To: Virginia Ridgerunner I like my scenario better:
After eight years of the economy faltering, interest rates are 19%, 900,000 people are dead in Iraq since we left, taxes have gone up by 60% and Chile, Bolivia and Columbia are now Communist regimes, a stray bullet at a NARAL rally catches President Clinton and kills her.
As they take away Cindy Sheehan she screams why did she have to remove the troops? We were winning.
The next day the dow goes up 2000 points and closes at 2150.

Don't even bother trying to defend that one. Assassination jokes have no place on Free Republic. Yes, Cindy Sheehan has written of her fantasizies about killing President Bush--and she's not joking, but that's her problem. We're better than that.
The "homosexuals are dogs" comment is taken out of context. The actual quote is "Homosexuals are the modern day dogs in the manger." That was in reference to an article about proprieters in the U.K. not being allowed to deny hotel accomodations to homosexual couples on account of religious belief.
The American Heritage online dictionary gives this description for the phrase: dog in the manger, NOUN: Inflected forms: pl. dogs in the manger. One who prevents others from enjoying what one has no use for oneself. ETYMOLOGY: From a fable in which a dog prevented an ox from eating hay he did not want himself.
That comment was posted two days ago and has also been removed by the moderators. It is available for now in Google cache.
The "I hate blacks" comment was nowhere to be found in the other threads referenced.
The threads are about crime in the black community, gangsta culture and Jesse Jackson. Two of the threads are in the Smoky Backroom.

He sure did. He lied and threw FR under the bus in order to make himself look fair and balanced. I wonder what else he lies about?
Yeap I mean the tv show 24. That is one fast moving thread.
No, you call homosexual dogs like this: "Here, Fluffy! Here, Fluffy!" to your pit bull in a pink tutu.
TS
"Face it, Stan. Your dog is a gay homosexual."
Again, please provide links.
I’m sure O’Reilly will come out with a retraction and apology, tonight. :^)
Indeed...BOR, might want to have a talk with that one journalist, Dan Rather, might change his latent investigative ways
OH THE DRAMA!!!! :-)

“Is it necessary to be a smart ass on a serious topic FR is trying to address?”
It is necessary to refuse to accept a false accusation. The writer did not speak of assassination; he spoke of a “stray bullet.”
Not from what I've seen. The extreme posts have been from frustrated long-timers when they get fed up hearing opinions other than their own.
For example, I tried to tell someone that you can't tell if someone is an illegal alien just by looking at them, and a crowd of freepers descended on me immediately that they had been around them enough to tell which people were illegals when they saw them....as if there's some kind of makring you get when you become a naturalized citizen. Nuts!
The AM's recognized, like I was trying to explain, that that kind of idiocy makes us all look bad. And yet, the particular posters still to this day don't get it and think I accused them of racism.
They throw what can only be called the "don't call me a racist" card, which is as illogical and irrational as any other JEsse Jackson race card.
Bill was doing moral equivalency for the sake of marketing himself; it was cheap shot not based in fact. To protest him, I’ll just turn off his shows.
A DOG looking out for its afternoon nap jumped into the Manger of an Ox and lay there cosily upon the straw. But soon the Ox, returning from its afternoon work, came up to the Manger and wanted to eat some of the straw. The Dog in a rage, being awakened from its slumber, stood up and barked at the Ox, and whenever it came near attempted to bite it. At last the Ox had to give up the hope of getting at the straw, and went away muttering:
AH, PEOPLE OFTEN GRUDGE OTHERS WHAT THEY CANNOT ENJOY THEMSELVES.
Switching gears, slightly.
Every so often, we here at Free Republic all see posts that have been removed by the moderator. Generally, these are followed by sincere posts that (what ever was written) was uncalled for, and needs to be removed.
I confess to a bit of difficulty trying to figure out Mr. O' Reilly's malignant, and overstated characterization of this forum.
Is O'Reilly going for some "street cred" here? He gets somewhat testy when folks call him a conservative (and he's not a conservative, and that's fine). Is this some sort of "firing for effect" to show he's an independent?
Could this be jelousy? This is a vibrant, active (and diverse, within the context of our fairly large conservative tent) forum. We enjoy some political "juice", evidenced by such things as the online exposure of Dan-the-forger, and some impressive solidarity re the amnesty-for-illegal-alien bill (call it what you want). This forum will have its say in the nomination of the GOP candidate for President.
I, for one Freeper, enjoy watching O' Reilly from time-to-time. I have not, however, gotten past his shameful treatment of John O'Neill and the brave way he and his fellow Navy swiftboat veterans presented the important truths about John Kerry's wartime hoaxes.
No kidding. I was hoping one night to get on and post with everyone while the show was on on the WC but all y’all are way way too fast!!
-—Sorry but Free Republic is full of disgusting comments. The mods may do a good job at keeping trolls out but they should dont care what a lot of the regular posts say.-—
Well, gee, I’m sure we’ll all try very hard to only say things that are pleasing to you!
What's wrong with saying 'my best friends are black'?
Is that not allowed now too?
You post what could be the most damning allegations to date I have ever see regarding Free Republic without providing a shread of evidence.
An action no real freeper can respect. So what’s up with the self loathing, the attempt to sabotage your own character in broad daylight on this forum?
Why are you even here if this forum disagrees with you?
Somehow though, I don’t see BOR as the type of person who can admit “mistakes”, at least not without some prodding.
Wow, those numbers are incredible! To think I had no idea we had all these ‘24’ buffs here...... now you may be truly appalled when I say I’ve never even seen the show! (I don’t watch much TV except for documentaries on the History Channel, etc.)
The politically correct doesn't fly here, from all the time I've spent here Jim Rob doesn't have a problem with that.
JMO
In other words, a big fat nothing. O’Reilly really stepped in it this time.
