'Obscene' Gwen angers Muslims 01/08/2007 13:21 - (SA)
Los Angeles - Gwen Stefani could be forced to cancel her Malaysian show after a Muslim group branded her "indecent" and "obscene".
The singer, who is currently on the road with her Sweet Escape tour, is due to perform in Kuala Lumpur next month but the National Union of Malaysian Muslim Students want the concert scrapped because Gwen's image offends Islamic beliefs.
Mohamad Hilmi Ramli said: "Her video clips promoting the event are too obscene. We want the organisers to cancel the concert, failing which we will ask the authorities to intervene."
Ramli also slammed Malaysian cellphone company Maxis Communications for promoting Gwen's concert and exposing young Malaysians to "moral decay".
He fumed: "Maxis has been staging a series of foreign acts to make a profit and to expose our young generation to things such as moral decay."
Gwen's Kuala Lumpur show is due to take place at the Stadium Putra on August 21.
The singer will also perform in Australia, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, China and Hawaii before taking her tour to Europe. - Bang Showbiz.com
"Fade" is a little too slow for me.
“Rage Boy” - what happens when a guy is born without a penis. Especially when hotties like Miss Stefani come around.
Muslim rage and the burkha thing may not be about Muslim men not able to restrain themselves, but their inability to avail themselves.
BTW, if you liked No Doubt, check this band out.
Naah, they got ‘em, they just need to stop sticking them in the sheep, goats, little boys, or in bloodied battered females laying in the dirt covered in bedsheets from head to toe. Gwen’s a real woman, and they can’t handle it.
Don’t tell them but their are some hotties in Penang.
Gwen really should play it up and wear a burkha during her performances.
I think they all have latent ghey issues. They want to have homo-sex with all of us, but they can’t, so they’re very, very angry.
There is something about their fanatical looks, big, open, gaping mouths, and clenched fists that make my trigger finger spasm.

Great; now I have to dig out my “Ultimate Video Gwarchive” DVD. “Gor-Gor” and “The Road Behind” still hold up well.
LOL LOL!
The muzzies had a huge rock/culture event like the US Festival.
Live-Stock.
And, of course, failing that, they will blow her up.
I wouldn't walk across the street to see Gwen Stafani -- but that's the point -- If this clown doesn't like it, all he has to do is not buy a ticket!
The video Gwarchive is cool and all. But nothing can capture the insanity of a GWAR show (they really do hate their fans).
They have been back in the studio! No Doubt will release a new album soon.
I hear it’s like attending a Gallagher show - don’t show up without plastic sheeting. A GWAR tour through the Middle East might just be the diplomacy those countries would relate to.
Oh, My God! That is sooooo funny!!!! ROTFLMAO!!
Haven’t seen GWAR live. I would like to.
Ironically, this gives a new meaning to “A Simple Kind of Life”.
I wonder if nuclear annihilation of all Moslem countries would offend their beliefs? Not that I’d care...
