UK women 'least likely to care what men think'

Russian women are more worried about a man's seal of approval
Frank Sinatra advised in the song Wives and Lovers: "Don't send him off, with your hair still in curlers. You may not see him again."
However, it seems that British women couldn't care less after a survey showed they are the least likely to put effort into their appearance for the sake of men.
They have the lowest levels of concern in the world for what husbands, boyfriends and other male observers might think, with only 51 per cent caring whether men liked their appearance, the study said.
Japanese women were second bottom with 53 per cent followed by Americans at 56 per cent.
Indian, Spanish and Korean women were far more worried about having a man's seal of approval, but it was Russia which topped the poll of 10,000 women, with 77 per cent saying that they cared what their men thought.
Janet Saunders, of Clinique, the cosmetics company which commissioned the study, said: "British women like to feel confident and beautiful for their own pleasure and take pride in their outward appearance." Susan Quilliam, a relationship psychologist said: "It's a delicate balance. It's a positive thing in an equal relationship to reference the other person's tastes and preferences sometimes."
The survey also showed, that Britons are among the keenest on cosmetic surgery. Thirty five per cent of British women said they have gone, or are willing to go, under the knife for beauty.
Only Korean women were more likely to consider surgical enhancement, while just three per cent of Indian women condone it.
The survey also asked which of the 12 countries polled had the most beautiful women. Although most found their country's own women the best looking, Britons rated Italian and Indian women more beautiful than themselves.
Ladies are never rude, they have opinions. I had a dose of reality when I was young that kind of confirmed my world view on death and warfare.
It's competition, pure and simple.
A sense of fashion and graceful movement is seriously lacking.

I noticed that in 65 when I returned from Navy service! And things were not nearly in so bad a state as now.
There was a feminist writer who was amused at being leered at, and contemptuous of the men who did so -- until she got to an age where it stopped happening
Scones are Scots.... don't know that pudding is uniquely English, and I've never liked that filthy Indian habit of drinking tea.... :)
Are you referring to a certain late-night paranormal ex- talk radio host?

Saw pistol sized ones at a Renfest booth, and said, "Hey, it would be cool to take the idea, go on the Internet, find the simplest, most accurate design of a real crossbow I could re-craft, and make one! Made 3 for myself and two friends. I had blueprints at one time, but lost them. I'll get them redone soon and send you a set free. Sword is plastic, but it's aim is true!!
So...how's that been working out for ya?
I think his problem with them has been the same problem all men have to one degree or another...they love with their eyes. If what they see doesn't please them, they hate with their eyes. A woman who doesn't please their eyes makes them angry.
Attractive women know this--it gives them a great deal of power over men, and they take advantage of it. That's how Rush ended up a three-time loser--he didn't fall in love with a woman. He fell in love with "pretty"--
Except with his last, who he met online. I think he and Marta would likely have made it except for the painkiller addiction.
Which Renfest are you closest to - Blackrock?
No, a friend . Well, an acquaintance . Very weird guy, not scary-weird, but I think this mail-order thing worked out well for him. He would have been very lonely, otherwise.
It’s on his web site...rule number 4 or such.
His rule of life.....something about the unattractive needing women’s lib or like that.
It’s a mean, nasty thing from one so wise as Rush. Every time there’s a thread where normally nice conservative men get all uppity and insulting to women they quote this rule of life from Rush.
I love Rush Limbaugh, no one listens more than me.
An expert on love he’s not. He needs Viagara to get it up...hardly a manly man by my standards. His record with women is very bad although if he’s happy single then I’m happy for him. I doubt it though.
It’s part of his feminazi schtick and in large part he’s right about the lesbians who took over that movement. They could care less about the REAL mistreatment of women across this planet but they’re right in the thick when it comes to protecting their precious right to an abortion on demand or marital rights for same sexed couples.
But Rush, deep inside, is scared to death of women. For all of his wisdom, he’s not figured out how to find one, keep one, and be happy with one.
Too many normally very nice conservative men take his charge of those harpies who would emasculate them all as their freedom to be nasty and mean as hell to any female on this forum daring to question some male concepts.
Such as condemning all American women for the foreign ones.
Just between you and I and this keyboard, those men mouthing such nastiness about American women likely couldn’t get one. American women do have some standards and they’re usually pretty high.
Given a choice I’d go with my belief that given a choice, most men on this planet would choose a pretty, happening American woman, including the Islamofacist kooks.
It’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
Don’t you guys realize that you’re in a conservative forum?
The women in here are conservative, too.
Or, perhaps the women don't care for men who don't act like men.
“...pingpong ball crossbow.”
You have to have really really good shot placement with a weapon like that...
What do MSM commercials have to do with what is posted on FR? I come to FR to be among the conservative-minded, which is why I don’t remember a thread posted by an FR woman for the purpose of ragging on men.
