I hope this whole thing has backfired on the Imans. If they were trying to see just how far they could go, then they found that the public is well aware of what is happening around them, and will not allow themselves to be muted. They simply brought more attention to themselves.
Look at this way...if they go out to sue the passengers...the case goes on in court for years...with counter-suits very likely...and the public keenly aware of this entire mess. The passengers will explain what they saw, on the stand, and it will be public record...which makes the Islamic mission of repeating 9-11 more difficult. They are likely very shocked at how quick the passengers reacted and the airline which quickly got them off. There wasn’t going to be much of a chance to test the system...this was a lousy failure.
