......there have long been whispers that Giuliani's third marriage, not his two divorces, could be his biggest personal problem. Vanity Fair put its long-awaited profile of Judith (don't call her Judi!) Giuliani on the Web, and the whispers are about to get a lot louder. --SNIP-- Giuliani's wife is a political liability, and that isn't good........Giuliani has a pattern of terrible judgment, from promoting the integrity-challenged Bernie Kerik from his driver to police commissioner to (almost) Homeland Security chief to continuing to employ his friend, Monsignor Alan Placa, despite credible accusations he not only helped cover up child abuse in the Catholic Church, he engaged in it. His wife appears to be, at best, another PR disaster.

It won’t be the wife that hurts him so much as kicking his ex-wife and kid out of the house to move her in when he wasn’t married to her yet. The Dems will have a field day with that, if he’s the nominee.
What timing!
Hmmm, I must have missed the Salon article regarding the damage a decades-long philandering spouse might cause a person’s presidential campaign. Until I see it, I’m going to give Giuliani a pass.
Spouce weren’t supposed to matter according the marxist media whores.
Salon is now required reading....
hmmm.
Damn!!
Now that McCain has imploded, I see that the “unbiased” journalists have moved onto Rudy G.
Cannibal liberals eating one of their own even if he does have an R by his name.
They’ve just started picking at the edges of the other front runners, but I have faith that they will pick them off one by one.
Clinton/Obama have been annointed by the reigning powers that be.
Rooty's then-wife had to go to court to declare the Mayoral mansion their "marital home" to keep the mistress out.
EXCERPT FROM VANITY FAIR BY JUDY BACHRACH Sept 2007
At 19 Judi married Jeffrey Ross, a U.S. Surgical salesman six years her senior. In short order both Rosses were working in Charlotte, North Carolina, for U.S. Surgical (now part of Tyco Healthcare), which eventually grew into a billion-dollar enterprise marketing surgical staplers.
Judi was excellent at her work, and earned $40,000 a year by the late 70s. But problems arose when animal-rights groups began investigating the way the company sold its productsproblems recently pointed out by the New York press. U.S. Surgical used dogs in demonstrations to doctors and hospitals as part of its marketing plan.
“Every salesperson at U.S. Surgical was trained for six weeks with dogs at Lincoln Hospital in the Bronx, and that was really brutal,” explains a former employee. “They spent days and days with dogs, taking out the spleen or stomach or the lobe of a lung. Then if the dog started moaning or fidgeted, whoever was closest would push more sedative into him from the syringe. It was horrible. Then the dog would be killed with potassium chloride.”
After training, the salespeople marketed the staplers to doctors, and, once again, in many cases large dogs were used, as they had organs comparable in size to those possessed by humans. “After the stapling, sometimes they’d put a big clamp above and below the staple lines of the dog, and fill [the area] with lots of fluid,” the ex-employee says. “It would fill up like a balloon, and the salesperson would say to the doctor, ‘Seeit doesn’t leak!’ That’s how they marketed and sold the product.”
(Some years ago, former C.E.O. Leon Hirsch defended the company’s practice of using dogs, claiming that there was no proper substitute.)

Two words: Hillary Clinton.
“puppy” and “stapling” are two words I never expected to hear used together in the same sentence that way, much less along with “Rudy” and “Giuliani”...
“Vanity Fair put its long-awaited profile of Judith (don’t call her Judi!) Giuliani on the Web”
Nothing in Vanity Fair is long-awaited. This is the same rag that put Joe and Val on its cover. It’s readership consists of elitist Democrats.
“Clinton/Obama have been annointed by the reigning powers that be.”
They don’t reign. That’s their fantasy.
“Two words: Hillary Clinton.”
How much you wanna bet Vanity Fair got its information from the Clinton campaign?
I saw an interview recently with two writers who’ve written articles and books about presidential candidates’ spouses and First Ladies. Both agreed that Mrs. Giuliani and Mrs. Thompson were major liabilities. Thompson’s wife because she is so much younger than he is and has a penchant for displaying her massive cleavage at every opportunity and Giuliani’s because of her adultery with him and the fact that she tried to hide that she, like he, has been married three times. They also described Bill Clinton as a liability for Hillary.
The asset wives, they believe, are Ann Romney and Elizabeth Edwards both of whom are courageously facing serious health problems with the support of faithful husbands. I don’t think this is an insignificant factor in campaigns and elections. It gives an insight into the candidate’s character and judgment.
When Republican voters get a clear idea of Rudy’s personal life and his shady connections, his support should evaporate. He’s benefiting now from people’s ignorance, particularly in South Carolina.
LOL!! That'll teach me to rush to post -- while my wife is calling me to see a wacky "Just For Laughs" stunt on TV... ;-{
