>>Wasn’t there a post about this a month or two ago?
IIRC Most freepers decided we we do not need Alan Keyes nor his website.<<
I obviously don’t speak for most freepers...
But my take on this is that who Freepers support for President and whether Free Republic will get behind Alan Keyes is a different question than whether its good to have Ambassador Keyes in the race speaking about issues.
Until this week I would have welcomed Keyes into the race. I still would but the administrator from Renew America’s support here on Free Republic of heckling Fred Thompson and 9/11 conspiracy makes me unenthusiastic about any further Presidential activity from Renew America unless Keyes distances himself from the heckling and conspiracies.
Yes......but is he clean?
Remind me again of Keyes great successes in winning elections...
Where’s that ‘Not this s**t, again’ picture?
That had to be the fastest suicide by press (SUP) announcing and killing his Presidential campaign the same day. Biden is truly a moron.
>>Dismissing Obamas brief and empty career as a national politician, Biden gave the famous madrassa student a backhanded or should we say blackhanded? complement: I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, thats a storybook, man.
Yeah, man! Obviously, Bidens talking about previous Democratic black presidential candidates: Jesse Jackson, who looks like a frog, has a mouthful of marbles and is at least considered to be a low-level crook, and the hilarious lunatic Al Sharpton. But context doesnt matter in politics, so it looks like its time to take off our BIDEN 08 trucker caps.<<
I have a clue thank you! Your mentality and mine were the same for a long time but we have to start somewhere and I wish and hope the young folks in America ill come together and throw all these crooks out.
political opportunism and bottom feeding.
Instead of being a “learned elder statesman” he is off into lindon laroush nutcase territory.
Yeah real blend. Keyes a nationalist who can't decide what state he's from and believes all moral issues should be decided by the hacks in DC with Rep. Paul, a conservative states rights federalist. I don't think they would agree on a single thing
I don’t think Alan Keyes would win an election from Freepers.
What makes you think he would win a general election?
No thank you. Never again.
That would cover everything. By the way what is being agreed on nowadays in DC? Please fill me in I must have been out of pocket.
You smoking Crack! Thats against the law.
He already lost to Obama once.
Certificate of Merit
But, that ain't enough for me to ever even consider supporting him, until he runs for a seat he has a chance of winning. I suggested the Tennessee First Congressional which is a Republican lock and needed some new blood after Jimmy Quillen retired.
Instead he went off tilting at windmills and talking reparations. No thanks.
Ron Paul is heads and shoulders above Keyes. He at least held elective office, served in the military, and is a medical doctor. What has Keyes done besides give speeches?
There's already a pro-Constitution candidate in the race, thank you very much. I wouldn't vote for Keyes if he was running unopposed.
Never again.
To be fair, I would not count the MD elections. Due to of a quirk of geography, MD contains both a densly populated urban core (Baltimore) and a rich, liberal suburb of DC (Montgomery County). These two jurisdictions dominate the state electorally. For a Republican to be elected at the state level is a (very uncommon) abberation.
“The effort is spearheaded by several individuals at RenewAmerica, a grassroots organization affiliated with Keyes.”
Alan Keyes — drafting himself to run for President. That’s a new one, but not unexpected from this guy.
