Nothing is as pretty as the “Red, White and Blue”.
Lovely sentiments & pic!!
AMEN!
I could not beleive Davis said that!
How low will these people (liberals)go to TRY to discredit us?
Thank you, I join you in saluting our Military Hero’s!
War Casualty Stats
You will be surprised
Why has the media not complained before the Iraq war????
These are some rather eye-opening facts:
As tragic as the loss of any member of the US Armed Forces is, consider the
following statistics.
Annual fatalities of military members while actively serving in the armed
forces from 1980 through 2004:
1980 .......... 2,392
1981 .......... 2,380
1982 .......... 2,318
1983 .......... 2,465
1984 .......... 1,999
1985 .......... 2,252
1986 .......... 1,984
1987 .......... 1,983
1988 .......... 1,819
1989 .......... 1,636
1990 .......... 1,508
1991 .......... 1,787
1992 .......... 1,293
1993 .......... 1,213
1994 .......... 1,075
1995 .......... 1,040
1996 .......... 974
1997 .......... 817
1998 .......... 826
1999 .......... 795
2000 .......... 774
2001 .......... 890
2002 .......... 1007
2003 .......... 1,410 -—— 534*
2004 .......... 1,887 -—— 900*
2005 .......... 919*
2006 .......... 920* * Figures are Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation
Enduring Freedom
fatalities only
Does this really mean that the loss from the two current conflicts in the
Middle East are LESS than the loss of military personnel during Mr.
Clinton’s presidency? Were we at war?
Now, are you confused when you look at these figures?
Especially look at 1980, during the reign of President “Nobel Peace Prize,
Jimmy Carter” himself, there were 2,392 US military fatalities.
What this clearly indicates is that our media and our liberal politicians
pick and choose, and they tend to present only those facts that support
their agenda driven reporting.
Another fact our left media and politicians like to slant is that these
brave men and women losing their lives are minorities. Wrong again - The
latest census shows the following:
European descent (white) ..... 69.12%
Hispanic ..... 12.5%
African American ..... 12.3%
Asian ..... 3.7%
Native American ..... 1.0%
Other ..... 2.6%
Now, the fatalities over the past three years in Iraqi Freedom are:
European descent (white) ..... 74.31%
Hispanic ..... 10.74%
African American ..... 9.67%
Asian ..... 1.81%
Native American ... .. 1.09%
Other ..... 2.33%

energy enough to give them effect must always expect to encounter political
hostility from those of adverse principles.”

She sends appreciation for your prayers.
Dolly, I remember Gretchen....when I went to that thread, there was only a picture. It was a beautiful picture but was there supposed to be a thread? Thanks!
Praise God for the good report for Karen! Thanks for the update.

READ: James 1:1-8
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials. James 1:2
Ill never forget the time during college when, after I had finished writing a big paper that was due the next day, I heard a loud commotion in the room across the hall. My neighbor was in a state of panic, throwing stuff around his room looking for his paper. Frustrated, he banged his fist against the closet and shouted, Thanks a lot, God. You make life one big laugh!
I might have given him an A+ for theologyat least he knew that God was ultimately in chargebut an F for his response to the problem.
For those of us who get mad at God when life takes a wrong turn, we need a good dose of biblical therapy. So, welcome to Wall-Bangers Anonymousa two-step program toward a positive, God-honoring response to pain.
Step One: Think straight about trouble. Its not only inevitable, its indiscriminate. Trouble comes in all shapes and sizes. Various trials (James 1:2) affect our health, our careers, our relationships. Once we understand the facts, we can begin appreciating their significant value in our lives.
Step Two: Trade resistance and resentment for receptivity and rejoicing. Count it all joy (v.2). The joy is not in the presence of pain but in the knowledge that God is using our pain to refine us and make us better, not bitter.
Thank you, Mayor..very important lesson to remember!
Good morning/afternoon, Rus!
Hope you are having a great week and are staying busy.
Try to stay out of the heat whenever possible!
Thanks for our beautiful lesson from God’s Word!
