The U.S. is retrofitting its B-2 Stealth bombers with massive bunker-buster bombs - a move that could be a prelude to an attack on Iran and its nuclear facilities.

Iran has refused to comply with international demands that it stop its nuclear weapons programs.

Experts have noted that a U.S. or Israeli strike on Iran's nuclear program could be difficult due to the large number of installations - some of which are buried deep underground in hardened bunkers.

Well, let's just broadcast the news to the Iranians.

Next we'll get reports where our carrier fleets are 'steaming'.

Geezzz

There is a series problem with starting fresh threads when there is an old thread. Some say they missed the old thread and would be unaware of the hot news item if the new thread hadn’t been started. That is a bogus argument. That there is a news report is more important than the news. The West is doomed.

It cant matter what news comes out, the Persians have no defenses against stealth bombers and bunker busters. Its good tactics to make them afraid, very afraid.

Drop the Massive Ordnance Penetrator (Big BLU) on the Iranian Nuke Facilities!

Destroy Iranian producing oil fields and remove terrorist funding! No invasion necessary!

Those bomb pictures do warm the heart of an old Ordinance troop.

As much as I’d like to believe this. NewsMax has a history or gross sensationalizing these kind of stories to lock in whack-job readership. 10 years ago they ran a series about an imminent war with Russia with long descriptions of Moscow bunker construction and plans for a surprise attack relayed by a defecting general.

NewMax should be treated as 90% fiction.

Let me understand: the UN has prohibited Iran was having a nuclear-weapons making capability, correct? And so the USA is preparing to bomb Iran if it does not comply with UN mandates?

The UN is like a sad, slippery replacement for real treaties between real nations with clearly-defined consequences (even though treaties + treaties + treaties led to the plethora of nations dogpiling into WW I).

So the USA is acting in its interests, Israel’s, the UAE’s — whose? And if Iran retaliates in repsonse to an attack, I guess it’s all-out ME war or maybe bigger. So, like I said, I’d rather act in the ME out of a clearly-defined treaty that the other nations knew of and respected that some quasi-governemtnal agency saying “these reports don’t add up.”

There is absolutely no way to have any thing resembling lasting peace in the middle east without the catharsis and cleansing of an all out highly destructive bloody war.

If the hapless UN needs to be fronted as a fig leaf to do what needs to be done, so be it.

Iran’s military will be hobbled with the first strike so that no military response is possible. 230+ facilities are being targeted.

As a tax paying supporter of our military, it makes me ill to see the press report the latest developments and capabilities of our military.

No need for espionage; our enemies just pull up the news.

Just bomb all the schools and hospitals and you are sure to take our the important facilities buried under them.

I wonder if we just would bomb the regime leaders, and see what happens first before slamming the nuke facilities.

Might solve the problem a lot quicker.

These are all satellite guided munitions and are not intentionally targeted at those places. If the Iranians chose to place nuke factories under a hospital, a strike there is fare game. We carpet bombed in WWII, you know--the good war.
