News Choppers Collide in Phoenix; 3 Killed
Both helicopters belonged to local television news stations and were covering a police pursuit.

and the guy’s dog was in there too.
Damn!
They shouldn’t bother with coverage of these idiots. It wasn’t worth the lives of the three people or even the dog.
Could someone explain to me why the “graphic” video (linked on Drudge right now) is labeled so? All you see is the helo’s last video transmission, and then someone says “Awwwww...” faintly like someone pushed the person, and then it’s static.... How in the world is that graphic???
You know, stuff with animals really bothers me. It’s visceral, I guess. I can watch a movie where the corpses are falling fast and furious, but when they kill the dog, it gives me nightmares.
Was that Molly the Flying Dog?
I dunno.
The dog’s name was Molly. yes.
Whatever. Stupid media.
To ME(CHEE):
Where are the Photos and Video?
Paint that an OOPS.

They’ll also have video from the choppers that went down if the video survived, but it was probably being transmitted to their respective stations.
” ... stuff with animals ... “
Me, too. I guess it’s because people put themselves in harm’s way voluntarily (and sometimes stupidly).
It’s a bit odd that I am somewhat numbed to the suffering of humans, other than innocent bystanders. But a couple of years ago I was driving in heavy traffic and passed a dog who had been clipped by a car. He was still on his feet but in obvious pain and confusion. It still haunts me.
After watching it, you will be wondering what was so graphic and shocking about it. The only thing captivating is the suspense of the supposedly graphic nature of the video. And tragedy of hearing their last words. Other than that, it's actually kind of boring.
Me too.
Yeah, you could hear, “Oh, Gezzz” and that’s about it.
Do you have a link to the follow up story?
I hate TV news choppers. I wish they’d all be grounded.
Here’s a link from wcbstv
Emotional reaction from other pilot immediately after collision: (It sounded like he was having a heart-attack)

This is just horrible news. Bless their families and loved ones.
Whoops... I thought I was watching another incident.
Not good. It sounded after, “oh gezz” you could hear either an alarm or it was the chopper turbine engine...Probably after rotor was sheared.
It was just reported on ABC 15, that Molly the dog was left in the hangar for this trip.
Well, that's mighty suspicious.
