Friday's Finest Poetry


Team Work





My Little Pretty One has a pocket in her apron just for me
So I can either curl or stand up comfortably to see
What she does Inside and Outside the House at the start of the Day

Long before her friends wake up and then go Outside to play
For there are important jobs to do that require some care
And for an extra set of eyes there's My Little Pretty One's Teddy Bear

To make sure the Flowers in the Window Box are watered to perfection
So that some Days or Weeks from now they may be worthy of selection
Then arranged to grace the huge long Table in the Dining Room

Whose many corners have been swept clean with a Broom
As well as helping unfold and spread sheets across several beds
The smallest is the one where we three will finally lay our heads
