The US still has laws (until the NAU takeover). So let's use them

ACTION ONE Assert your rights. Do this ASAP:

RE: Public officials in state and municipal government offices (welfare offices, DMV offices, law enforcement offices, etc) who are ignoring illegals and illegal activities are aiding and abetting violations of federal and state laws.

Keep in mind that many states mandate "bonding" all public officials (to protect taxpayers against government fraud).

Aiding and abetting illegal activity seriously impairs a government official's ability to be bonded; violating the terms of "bonding" would necessitate expulsion from a government job.

"Bonded" government officials using tax-funded offices to aid and abet illegal activity should be reported ASAP. The following offices should be contacted at once.

(A) Every state has a Dept of Insurance, and an insurance fraud unit, that polices the insurance business (and "bonding" companies).

(B) Every state's Atty General's office should have an Insurance Fraud Prosecutor who should be contacted.

================================================================

ACTION TWO Now, here's another way to go:

Government officials misusing tax funded government offices AND the proceeds from tax-exempt bonds to aid and abet illegal activities could be prosecuted under criminal laws.

The SEC and IRS do NOT like to hear that tax-exempt funds were misued. Or that tax-exempt investors and bondholders were misled about the proceeds of state/municipal tax-exempt bond rederenda.

The DOJ might also be alarmed.

Now if it were to be found that illegal aliens using fraudulent documents voted on tax-exempt bond referenda (and made taxing decisions for US citizens) that is A SERIOUS CRIME.

Express your concerns (A) about the validity of state and municipal bond referenda, and, (B) whether government offices using tax-exempt monies inappropriately should be prosecuted for criminality.

Not the first time for that Judge:

Federal Judge Blocks Pennsylvania Town’s Crackdown on Illegal Immigrants
Wednesday, November 01, 2006

U.S. District Judge James Munley on Tuesday ruled that landlords, tenants and businesses that cater to Hispanics faced “irreparable harm” from the laws and issued a temporary restraining order blocking their enforcement.

“We find it in the public interest to protect residents’ access to homes, education, jobs and businesses,” he wrote in a 13-page opinion.

>>It’s time for some “Sons of Liberty”-style agitation. Only then will they listen.<<

Maybe figuratively - Its a powerful name to invoke and you could use the modern day equivalent of pamplets but not actions like those of the original sons of liberty.

Burning judges’ houses, hanging them in effigy and decaptating the effigy and threatening them to make them resign when democratic means are available would be legally terrorism and it would be morally and ethically wrong.

For those fuzzy on the details

There are a vast number laws and judicial precedents that have some impact on this law. Ultimately Hazelton will win because, (1) states already have the prerogative of restricting ownership of land to resident citizens ~ and it's not likely any appellate court is going to rule against it, (2) New York City, etc., exercise the privilege of contolling rent, enforcing building codes, setting and enforcing zoning, and so forth ~ and I'll guarantee you no appellate court is going to touch that, (3) and so on, with very little federal interest at all in any of this. "Control of immigration", in the Constitution, consists only of establishing a "uniform rule" ~ which is not even a law. The Constitution quite clearly leaves enforcement to the states.

The trial court here was presented with what seems to be an "unequal treatment" situation ~ the city, unfortunately, did not bring in anybody from the planning and zoning office to back them up, but they will next time.

Be careful what you wish for. Just remember who Bush put in the Justice system. Bush, apparently has his own agenda regarding illegal aliens. And it doesn’t exactly match those of the American people.

U.S. District Judge James Munley

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,226818,00.html

Looks like they got an open border Clinton man.

Nov. 2006

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Just hours before they were scheduled to go into effect, a federal judge blocked the city of Hazleton from enforcing two ordinances targeting illegal immigrants.

The measures, approved by City Council last month, would have imposed fines on landlords who rent to illegal immigrants and denied business permits to companies that give them jobs. They also would have required tenants to register with City Hall and pay for a rental permit. They were supposed to go into effect Wednesday.

U.S. District Judge James Munley on Tuesday ruled that landlords, tenants and businesses that cater to Hispanics faced “irreparable harm” from the laws and issued a temporary restraining order blocking their enforcement.

“We find it in the public interest to protect residents’ access to homes, education, jobs and businesses,” he wrote in a 13-page opinion.[snip]

Forget the illegal alien aspect for a second - that is just plain bad law right there.

I can't imagine a large percentage of posters here supporting such a law if it didn't have anything to do with illegal aliens. Require people to ask the city for permission(and pay them) to pay someone to live in their house? Are you kidding me? The city is claiming its a priveledge to live in a house one does not own. Again, are you kidding me?

Just wow.

Public interest? Seems like pure liberal judicial activism from the judge in question.
