"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
I don’t understand why Fred made this decision. He must have been friends with Abraham in the Senate. It doesn’t seem consistent with his stance on the War on Terror. A real head scratcher. Hopefully he’ll explain it.
What possesed Fred to try to outdo Edward’s?
bump
Duncan Hunter is my number 1 choice. I will vote for him in the primary. If he doesn’t make it, Rudy starts to look good - at least he knows who the enemy is.
that’s putting it mildly.
To put some perspective on this, Debbie Schlussel is a nutjob.
She hates all arabs. Even conservatives who happen to be arab. Christian arabs, everyone.
Thanks for posting. Hooray Debbie Schlussel! Not good Fred.
Abraham was a consistent advocate of large-scale immigration and worked relentlessly to lessen immigration controls and regulations. In 1997 he received the “Defender of the Melting Pot” award from the National Council of La Raza. -from Wikipedia
This is a campaign manager, not his candidate for Secretary of State.
Yup, he’s toast. Bad enough Fred hired a lebonese guy but that he’s a Republican as well. Yuck.
Fred is doomed.

Man this choice of Fred is horrible. There are so many up-and-comers out there. Pat Toomey or Michael Steele would have been excellent choices, IMO.
He is out as far as I am concerned. I will not vote for a man who appears to be the heir apparent of the Clinton and Bush Administrations. Both of these points deal with American’s security and it doesn’t sound so far as if our government wants to protect us.I don't want more of the same or worse. My real point is is he going to be a yes man front?
I know there are “some” that question Debbie’s ‘persona’s but I’ve found her reporting of the facts to be pretty indisputable. This is very damning. I have never been a Fred! supporter. I have watched Rudi and Mitt who is actually my favorite to best take over DC and shake all the crap out. I feel he would do the best overall job.
I’m concerned about Rudy because my gut tells me he will still be tied into the country club machine that bought us the dreadful last 7 years.
Fred is a guy who maybe a hell of nice guy, good actor etc, but I have felt very uneasy about his entrance. The conservatives had better get a grip on reality and let go of “feelings.” I don’t like this report at all that Fred! has chosen this guy with his very questionable and dubious credentials.
We have to get it ‘Right” for 2008. Out with the RINO’s and the Dem’s especially all the crazy bastards that have been subpoena happy. And did ya’ get a load of what “Single Bullet Theory” Specter was doing on Roberts and Alito??? W.T.F.!!!???!!!
Freddie has never impressed me,but I have never watched law and order. He is just too ugly to be prez anyway, and we don’t need another womanizer in the white house.
I can only hope that Mitt and Rudy would keep their conservative promises if elected....yeah, right.
troubling indeed.
I don’t entirely trust Debbie Schlussel, but there are a lot of better and less controversial people that Fred could have chosen.
Of course, everyone makes a few bad decisions. As long as they are reversible, and the person is open to reversing them, no big deal. Campaign managers are fired all the time - and I’d bet that this will happen if Abraham starts to drag Fred down in polls. Plus, Fred can make it utterly clear what his stances are on the WOT and on immigration, thus lessening or eliminating any fears about Abraham, esp. if he says “hey, the guy is a campaign manager, not a policy-maker - I’M the policy-maker, and this is what my policies are...”.
Oh no! That’s it for Fred, then. OMG. Guess I’ll have to vote for Rudy G.
Oh wait, it’s for campaign manager and not for a position in a Fred Thompson administration? OK, I take it all back.
Calm down, folks! Debbie S. isn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer.
I smell a Rooty plant story.
Very disturbing, but it doesn’t surprise me. Nothing that Fred has done so far has been well thought out...a bad omen. I’m sticking with Mitt.
