Many people wonder what went on between R&C during that time. Their contention that nothing was said between the two of them is blatantly shocking. More believable is that what was said was incredibly incriminating and that an entire new story had to be created, so much so that neither thought they could keep them straight on the stand.
Also incredible is that Ramos claimed he never saw Compean pick up the shell casings...yet they arrived back at the levee at approximately the same time. How long does it take to find 14-15 .40 caliber shell casings that have been ejected from a gun? Wouldn't Ramos have the least bit of curiosity to know what Compean was up to? How did Compean catch up with Ramos after that time and why didn't Ramos say "What were you doing?"
They were only maybe 10-25 yards yards away from the levee. Ramos said as they walked back he was in front but Compean was only a few feet behind him. It would have taken Compean at least 20-30 seconds to find pick up those casings (they weren't dropped in a pile, each was ejected many feet from the gun from the gun in a brushy area) yet magically they get back to the levee at almost the same time...and Ramos has no clue nor does he want to know?
It would only have taken 20 or 30 seconds total for either of them to walk back from the shoot site to the levee. This is just one of dozens of inexplicable pieces of testimony from the two.
If they were innocent and it was a good shoot, why all the evasion and contradictory testimony?

Yeah, the same agent that changed his story numerous times and got immunity. BTW he was subsequently fired for lying. This same agent also did not see Ramos at any time during the encounter at the ditch although Ramos would have been no farther than a few feet from that agent(Juarez).

Thanks for posting an excerpt showing how evasive and unbelievable Compean was. He basically tells an agent “Hey you may see some shell casings up on the levee on south side of the ditch while you’re securing the van. You know, the ones that didn’t come from my gun when I didn’t shoot OVD? But don’t touch them or pick them up and throw them in the river or anything like that, just stare at them. I wanted you to know because they might jump up and bite your nads or something. But absolutely, don’t pick them up and get rid of them.”

No, the excerpt allowed you to again display your unbelievability. I suppose Juarez wanted Vasquez to go over the ditch, pick up the shotgun, and then throw it into the water when Juarez stated, "That's when he approached me. And that's when I said there's Compean's weapon, shotgun. And they're over there."(pg 142, vol 9)

No sh*t Sherlock. I never made a statement counter to those facts. But it is also a fact that Juarez was headed for the south side of the ditch when he encountered Compean and received radioed instructions to "babysit" the van. He proceeded on to the levee south of the ditch to babysit the van.
Einstein, how do you "secure" a van loaded with drugs on the north side of a ditch when you are on the south side?
