That is a good answer. A better one is: "Who gives a ...."

The Constitution itself says the only prerogative Congress has concerning immigration is to establish a "uniform rule". The Founders clearly made it a state matter to ENFORCE and CONTROL immigration.

BTW, that clause using the word "rule" is immediately adjacent to another clause using the word "law". By being juxtaposed in that manner it's pretty clear that "rule" means "rule" and "law" means "law".

Well, hope it passes...but this morning, while I was getting coffee at the local convenience store, a bunch of hispanic workers came in behind me. One of them had tattoos of the word "Mara" plastered over his forehead, others had similar tats on arms and necks. I couldn't catch much of what they were saying (Spanish not so good anymore) but heard a lot of "Chingaros" and "Cabrons" mingled in with laughter in what mirrored sounds from a poultry farm--they also commented about how the cashier was a "big ugly pig of a whore." (that much I did catch)
When they left, I noticed the truck they rode in was emblazoned with "Pike Construction" logos on each door. This is the problem, employers here in the Old Dominion don't seem to care who does the job, they just want the job done and as cheaply as possible. Exacerbating the problem is that the small and large biz owners give heavily to the GOP and Dim parties.

Any state or sanctuary city who continue with their refusal to report their illegals, when discovered, to the Feds for deportation should have their Homeland Security related funding dropped.

It's a good idea, but we have a Director of Homeland Security who is working for the enemy.

I’ve heard that they pretty much ‘got rid of’ the illegals in Middlesex county a year or two ago due to one of them being involved in a DUI car crash and hurt the wrong local person.

I thought that, if a US citizen marries a foreign national, the foreign national gets citizenship. Is that wrong? If not, it would not affect the military.

It seems that local and state bugeters would see that illegal criminals cost them money. Unfortunately, the feds compensate them. How about doing away with the fed payments to jails and hospitals? That would give an added incentive to get rid of them.
