WASHINGTON A contender for the Republican presidential nomination has ruled out an Israeli withdrawal as part of any peace accord with the Arabs. Rep. Duncan Hunter, one of 10 Republicans vying for their party's 2008 presidential nomination, said Israel must not withdraw from "one inch" of territory as part of an Arab peace accord. Hunter, the former chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, termed Israel a "postage stamp of a country" that could not afford to cede territory.
On May 20, Hunter, a California Republican, voiced his position during a meeting with Christian Zionists in Alexandria, Va. He recalled his visit to the Golan Heights, the scene of intense armored battles with Syria during the 1973 Yom Kippur War, Middle East Newsline reported.
During his trip, Hunter and his father were taken to a narrow valley in which a handful of Israeli main battle tanks blocked more than 1,400 Soviet-built Syrian MBTs during the 1973 Yom Kippur War. The House member recalled that at that point he vowed to support Israel's territorial claims.

Israel will have no worries about Iran and Syria when Hunter is elected.

Its not his fault that the majority of GOPers don’t pay close enough attention to the candidates records and positions to make an informed decision and instead prefer celebrities. So he is working his “butt” off each and every day to get his message out. And its starting to pay off.

Don’t blame Hunter, he is a victim of the pop culture mentality of most of the country. It is an obstacle he needs to overcome...
IMHO, give him some time with someone who can play to the cameras (ie, Fred) and after eight years, run again.

LOL That is ridiculous.
I can’t help it that Hunter’s campaign hasn’t caught on with conservatives. Maybe he’s just a bad candidate. I like the Congressman, but at the current rate he’s going nowhere.

Who’s whining? You come on the thread like schleprock (it’ll never wo-oooork) and make silly statements about his campaign which you are not following closely. So I corrected you, no wine or cheese.
But every time someone mentions Fred’s middling positions and statements, its like a darn vinyard around here.

Conservatives need to stop tearing down other Conservatives, no matter what their name is.. We have real opponents (Dems and Ron Paul) to face, save the attacks for them.. Hunter, Thompson, Brownback, heck, I would say even Romney (ducking the slingshots on that one) are all good people.. Remember who has the mentality that will destroy this country by handing it over to the enemy..

..these polls mean absolutely nothing at this point. And if you have been around politics very long, you know it to be true.
Pardon my response. It may have been rude--but so is the mantra that you and your ilk continue to chant--so save it please...
