WASHINGTON A contender for the Republican presidential nomination has ruled out an Israeli withdrawal as part of any peace accord with the Arabs. Rep. Duncan Hunter, one of 10 Republicans vying for their party's 2008 presidential nomination, said Israel must not withdraw from "one inch" of territory as part of an Arab peace accord. Hunter, the former chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, termed Israel a "postage stamp of a country" that could not afford to cede territory.
On May 20, Hunter, a California Republican, voiced his position during a meeting with Christian Zionists in Alexandria, Va. He recalled his visit to the Golan Heights, the scene of intense armored battles with Syria during the 1973 Yom Kippur War, Middle East Newsline reported.
During his trip, Hunter and his father were taken to a narrow valley in which a handful of Israeli main battle tanks blocked more than 1,400 Soviet-built Syrian MBTs during the 1973 Yom Kippur War. The House member recalled that at that point he vowed to support Israel's territorial claims.

See, that's why I can't recognize them. They hide when it's time to protect/defend our country!
The Paulites are the jehovah witnesses of politics.
They twist the Constitution and won’t fight the enemy
The fact that even after 5 years we are still fighting in Iraq speaks volumes that Bush is clueless as to what it would have taken to win. His own make them up as he goes rules prevent a victory in Iraq. Most Americans thought it was ober when he landed on the deck of the LINCOLN. He even denied our troops and our nation giving Saddam a Military Tribunal. It is not the duty of GW Bush or Taxpayers to re-build the nation of Iraq he does not have that power what part of that can you not understand? If you don't think the Clerics aren't preparing to place a new Saddam in power ypu'll find out soon enough. In the mean time Billions are being tossed down the hole to contractors that our military could have used back home to re-build a military Poppy, Clinton, and Congress, have almost destroyed. Bush has done ZILCH to rebuild our military except get photo ops. Look at the Troop End Strength Numbers they don't lie. Almost the same level as 1996.
Remember this also the very reason we have few nukes is due to Bush’s Dad and Cheney. Since when is upholding and defending the Constitution warper? I doubt Bush can even spell it maybe that is why he called it that ****ed piece of paper huh?
?Yes, but the words “Congress shall make no law” kept running through my head.<
Oh, my gosh, you are right! Ok scratch the background checks.
I don’t know what your problem is, but I worked very hard for Ronald Reagsn’s campaigns, and if you are really a Reagan Man, why are you not trying to get Duncan Hunter, the man most like Reagan, nominated, instead of needling his volunteers?
If you had followed the thread, you'd know. In a nutshell, its not constructive for Hunter's supporters to attack FredT in the hopes of helping out a faltering Hunter campaign. And you getting all emotional, calling that fact, "vulgar, crass and disrespectful" is just plain dumb.
I like Hunter's conservative record. As a Presidential candidate, however, he's been unimpressive. If Hunter is the nominee I'll support him. At this point that is a far fetched notion.
This time around the field of candidates is weak. When the time is right I'll choose who I believe is the best man to represent conservative Republicans. I'll tell you this. Should Fred Thompson decide to make it official, he'll be a strong addition to the candidate field. But FredT will also have to prove himself worthy of support from conservatives.
Hey pissant! Hunter rocks! Who can ping me? Thanks!
Rightfully questioned. And I only looked back 6 or so years, not 20. He also voted for the Prescription Bill and No Child Left Behind. Those were widely opposed within Repubican ranks and here, of course. He needs to show, not just promise, that he can tighten the Big Gov budget.
I think the only one who has mentioned FDT’s name on this thread has been none other than....ta da da DAH! REAGAN MAN!
No one has asked for your counterproductive opinion, yet you insist on posting it over and over and over again ad nauseum.
Doesn't matter who mentioned what, when or where. You responded to a post I made to another FReeper. Since this is an open political forum for conservatives to voice their opinions, you have every right to reply to my post and visa versa. So, I'll continue to post what I see as fit and proper. If you choose to whine about it, so be it. Won't change a thing.
>>>>>No one has asked for your counterproductive opinion, yet you insist on posting it over and over and over again ad nauseum.
Pointing out that Duncan Hunter's campaign is stalled and going nowhere is not counterproductive. Its stating a fact. Pointing out that attacking FredT doesn't improve Hunter's campaign is not counterproductive. Its stating the truth. Posting those remarks on a few threads over a few days, doesn't equate to "posting it over and over and over again ad nauseum", as you say.
And since this is America, and since this is Free Republic, I don't need your permission, or anyones permission to post anything. If you don't like my posts, replies and threads, don't read them. Simple as that.
I usually ignore you emotional rockheads. The fact I've ticked you off so, is gratifying. Thanks for playing.
