On the other hand I am amazed at those Texas steak houses that have the 2 1/2 pounders or more where you get a t-shirt and you picture on the wall if you eat the whole thing.
That's 4 1/2 lbs there, pardner. 72 ounces of pure heaven. Plus shrimp cocktail, salad, bread, and baked potato. Not only do they get it free if they eat it all in an hour, but they'll get the pic and t-shirt, just like you said...

4 1/2 pounds, WOW, was I way off. Shows I’ve never had one, huh?

Been there, but never was hungry enough for the Big Texan meal. IIRC, I had the 16oz sirloin with the trimmins.
Now, it would be the 16oz rib-eye and a baked tater and nothing else.
Kinda like how I grill out now, without the rush!
I do have a family member who had one in 1 hour. He's been stranded for 2 days in the snow one winter, drove up, and had the whole thing in 1 hour - and so he says, was slightly hungry for dessert. (He's 6'6" also.....)
