Another article about Fred shaking up his staff includes this from his campaign:

“Thompson spokeswoman Linda Rozett said acting campaign manager Tom Collamore, former vice president of food and tobacco giant Altria, still will advise the campaign. Collamore has helped organize the campaign for Thompson, who has not officially jumped into the race.”

If it is true that he quit over frustration with Teri, it is doubtful that he would still be around in another capacity. The more likely story is that Fred is bringing on more experienced political operatives as he prepares to officially enter the race. Given what he will be up against, he would be a fool not to.
