--snip--It turns out at least one congressman actually served in Vietnam, so he ought to be particularly qualified to help us determine the lessons of that conflict for this one. Meet John Kerry, junior senator from Massachusetts. Some say he looks French, others call him haughty. But everyone agrees on one thing: He served in Vietnam. ---snip---
"We heard that argument over and over again about the bloodbath that would engulf the entire Southeast Asia, and it didn't happen,"

Only the French Boy could get away with that - just as he got away with defaming our troops before the Senate in 1971. He's an expert, alright.

He served in Vietnam... which makes him qualified to pronounce on Iraq. And don't you dare question his patriotism!

"We heard that argument over and over again about the bloodbath that would engulf the entire Southeast Asia, and it didn't happen," Kerry doesn't want to admit that there was a bloodbath. He saw it more as a blood shower.

Kerry = Lying POS.
For every "boat person" you meet, one died from hunger, thirst, drowning or murder at the hands of pirates. That is John Kerry's legacy.
May his hell be to personally relive the life of every person his actions killed and experience their suffering.

Well, the Japanese are denying that Nanking happened, and Gore still thinks he won, and that guy in Iran thinks the Holocaust was a movie set or something.
So in Kerry’s Kozy Korner, over a million people did not die when our troops pulled out and the communists took over. Maybe they moved to, um, well somewhere. Certainly not Cambodia Christmas or no!
Once we got out, the “anti-war movement” quickly moved on and ignored the bloodshed they had caused. Only one to my knowledge kept protesting on human rights grounds and that was Buffy St Marie. Fonda, Baez, Ramsay Clark all immediately started pounding nuclear power.

the bloodbath...didn't happenJohn Kerry is either a heartless, lying S.O.B. who has no shame whatsoever, or he's simply a complete ignoramus.
Then again, come to think of it, John Kerry may actually be both.

The democrat[ic] party modus operandi is similar, no matter what the topic, from Iraq to taxes to health care. Its just a matter of sizing up what that part of the voting public (and potential voting public) wants to hear without actually questioning and probing deeper into the issue, and they spewing forthwith. I mean, EVERYBODY basically wants our fighting forces to return home, from liberals to conservatives to rats and pubs. But, conservatives are willing to probe a bit furthur, and make sure the job is done prior to return. Everybody would like to have free healthcare, at least on the surface. I know I would. But, a thinking person realizes that getting there makes it a different issue since there is no free lunch here, as the voting rat would believe.

I read Best of the Web every day, just for the thorough bitch-slapping Taranto applies to the "Haughty, French-looking candidate, who by the way served in Vietnam."

Kerry got Tsongas' Senate seat. Kerry also tried to run for a House seat in that district, iirc.
That area has, or had, the highest concentration of Cambodians at one point in the 1980s.
Perhaps Kerry could bother to visit the area again, and talk to some of the Cambodian transplants about what happened after Kennedy got the funds cut off for South Vietnam?
To: Doctor Raoul
Millions died but Kerry lied..
