Also...message to author (nyt):
Did you forget that "Dear Elliot" is a DEM-O-FRIGGIN-CRAT in your thousand word story? Or is it the policy of the NYT not to notice/mention this small but important fact?

Does anyone have a link to the original NY Times story? I tried searching over there for it and it appears to have gone down the memory hole.

It's obvious Cuomo let Spitzer hmself off the hook on this. I guess since the Clintons were allowed to use the FBI to create false allegations against Billy Dale (Travelgate), that it was okay for Spitzer to use the State Police to make false allegations against Bruno.
I noticed the State Police Superintendent in on the little scandal is serving as "Acting Superintendent". I doubt he'll be "Acting Superintendent" much longer, and can kiss goodbye, any idea of being made permanent in that post. Back to the barracks for you buddy! Either that, or he'll be given the option to retire or be brought up on departmental charges.

Here's "Acting" Superintendent of the State Police Preston Felton:
Appointed in February 2007 by Spitzer. It looks like he's the first black to hold the position, and was probably in line for permanent appointment. The dope allowed himself to be used by Spitzer and his henchman and now his career has been marred beyond repair.

I’ve seen this technique before in the MSM. I saw one article that identified about ten politicians who were being investigated for fraud. All the Republicans, about half the total, were identified by party. The others were not identified by party. These tricks mislead casual readers. But I think there is more.
They are setting up the Republicans. At some point they will tell you to Google “Republican corruption.” There will be a lot of hitsl. If you Google, or Yahoo, “Democratic corruption” there will be few hits. There is your "proof" that corruption is a Republican problem, and the Democrats have integrity.
