Horrific story....the killers have criminal histories.
To: Blue Turtle
Do they have the death penalty there?
To: Blue Turtle
So, which judge last slapped them on the wrist and sent them back out onto the streets?

If they let them off the hook for their prior crimes, how do we know they’ll do anything about these crimes?

Too bad the police didn’t shoot those two pukes trying to escape and save the state some money. It is a public disgrace they were not in prison at the time this happened. Both of them have criminal histories that, in a different state, would have had them in prison under the three times you’re out rule.

Well, their criminal histories should be put to an end, quickly and at the end of a rope. This sounds like a reprise of In Cold Blood.

Do they have the death penalty there? I believe they do but New England states with the DP are notorious for not using it these days.I think I read once that there hasn't been an execution in a New England state since the 50's.

That happens way too much...I think that when these judges let these criminals out and they commit crimes again, the judge should be charged too...

For crimes like this, the prosecution should have an option of "expedited execution" upon conviction by a jury. If a three-judge panel rules that the evidence indicates clear guilt, the appeals process should be limited to a single, expedited, one-year phase.
Having animals like the ones who murdered these people executed within 18 months of their vicious deeds would bring justice to the perpetrators, a sense of closure to the victim's families, and save the taxpayer hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars, when incarceration and legal costs are factored in.

Hmmm, what took the police so long getting to the house? The mother somehow informed the bank teller something was wrong so wouldn’t it take some time to drive back to the house and do whatever other horrific deed and then set the house on fire? One would have hoped the teller had called the police immediately and the house would have been surrounded by the time the mother got back. I know most banks have a direct line to the police.

Yes we do, and Connecticut put Serial Killer Micheal Ross to death last year.
I suspect that both of these idiots will get similarly charged.
To: Gay State Conservative
...New England states with the DP are notorious for not using it these days...That is the general rule, but Connecticut did execute a serial-killer of coeds a little over a year ago, the first such since 1962, and hopefully not the last.

Maybe this time they will serve three years and six months before being released to slaughter another family. It’s an open and shut case, and bullets are cheap. Use a couple.

Well,I was kind of right.I suspect that the thing I read was published a few years ago.I did notice, however, that his was the first execution in CT in 45 years. It will be interesting to see when the next execution occurs in New England.I wouldn’t be surprised in it was 100 years from now the way things are going here.
