Anyway, I don't want apologies. Yeah, I'm calling for them but I know they won't come. In fact, as you can see, my update with that little TRUTH factoid only made them worse.
Two things here 1)I am a True Crime buff and anytime you see a defense attorney as a source for a newspaper article, know that you are being slanted. The original article, as posted, was posted correctly and a reader could logically deduce that a couple of geeky boys innocently ran down the hall with their hands out and a few female butts got in the way of their hands. So I'll not fault a reader for interpreting it as reported, although the original reportage was a lie. Thus the original arguments was that this was but teenage horseplay and should be dismissed.
The prosecutor on this case, understand, is going after sex offender charges on these two boys and hey, after Nifong I tend to be a shade skeptical about out-of-control prosecutors.
In this case, those two boys, who were ugly as all get out, at least one I saw on Fox and Friends guesting to spread the same damn lies. Hey, if this were a female we'd sure be hearing about her looks so let the record show that one of the boys doing this dry-humping and breast grabbing was a buck-toothed fat twerp that would probably never get a date, much less a "feel" without resorting to this very bad behavior.
But I thought even when it was believed that this was naught but a butt-grabbing incident that this behavior should not be excused. Many posters thought it was okay, many didn't. Fine. At the time I thought the prosecutor's reaction seemed extreme what with these two cute boys only softly touching a tush or two.
But these boys have been terrorizing girls in the hallway and got at least FIVE warniings, so the police report shows. I mean, how many warnings does it take to make these two stop their uninvited dry humping and grabbing of girls' breasts?
Alas, even as I posted the TRUTH some of the males on this thread just won't let go. I'm going to be optimistic and state that had this story been posted TRUTHFULLY...most of the posters wouldn't have defended those boys.
That being said, whatever the case, they still attacked ME.
That's the part I don't get.
I don’t get it either, Fish. Well, that’s not entirely true. I think that some feel like the internet is their dumping ground for their frustrations: when the real world won’t listen, or they’re too cowardly to speak out in real life.
We all have to pick our battles. Part of me wants to go OFF on these guys, but then I realize that doing so just encourages more crap. Stooping to name calling and insulting photos is what kids in jr high do on MySpace. Hmmmm, maybe that’s what we’re dealing with here. ;)
