I’ve seen some sweet pits, but they still make me nervous. Any dog, even well-socialized ones, can “go off” momentarily ... it’s just that a pit can do so much damage before it pulls back and goes “oops”.

Had a funny encounter at the dog park this morning. A pit tried to hump my Pug — the Pug went seriously hostile on the pit, which turned tail and ran off.
