I find it more that a little ironic that Harry Reid attempted using sleep deprivation in an attempt to break the Republican's will. I thought SD was torture. So, Harry Reid was willing to use a tactic against his fellow Senators that he is not willing to allow US interrogators to use against people who would like to blow US to bits.
And if the Republican Party had any members with a set of them, they would be making this point over and over and over again.
