I wouldn't be so quick to cheer the Chinese on here. Xinjiang and Tibet were both peaceful, independent countries that were annexed by China. China then imported millions of workers, farmers, and families, to make the locals minorities in their own lands. Schools, jobs, and government positions are issued to Han Chinese first, and only after they are all taken care of are any scraps left for the locals. This, and an aggressive program to promote mixed marriages, was tried in Inner Mongolia, and has virtually wiped out the Mongolian ethnic group in China.
So, I sympathize deeply with the anti-Islamic sentiment, but totalitarian China is far more dangerous than fanatical Islam. China's in the process of doing the same thing in Siberia. Tens of millions of immigrants have been pushed across the Russian border over the last few decades, to tip the balance towards China. With Siberia's dwindling population, and vast resources, China's looking to absorb what Russia can't defend. In cases like this, it's a net loss for us if China is the winner.
Try as I might I can’t see any difference in the tactics between these two groups.
You assume that China and the Global Jihad are not in league (at least as far as operations OUTSIDE China are concerned)

That’s funny, because it’s the exact same tactic that the Russians did in Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. Moved in tons of ethnic Russians, and gave them the better jobs. What goes around, comes around. They did the same in Crimea, and parts of western Siberia. Also in East Berlin, when Berlin was a divided city. And you were saying?
Yea, it’s a real dilemna, which side to cheer for.
Is there a way both sides can lose?
I don't agree. Right now our economies are co-dependent on each other. Also, Christianity is spreading throughout China like wild fire. This may be one example in history that the dominant and emerging power don't end up in a war aganist one another. Eventually, it may be in our best interest to see Chinese warships protecting the Persian Gulf oil supply along side ours. Saves us money and gives the islamonuts another target.
