Well, nevermind. Forget my criticism of the video. I acknowledge it has nothing to do with Duncan Hunter’s campaign and nothing to do with why he’s doing so poorly.

OK? I take it back, regarding the video.

The fact remains, however, that Duncan Hunter — while being a great conservative — remains a flop as a campaigner.

His campaign is going absolutely nowhere, and I know his die-hard friends here (all of whom I respect) are trying their best to turn that around, but they can’t. It can’t be done.

You can’t wave a magic wand and make a Duncan Hunter or a George Allen a great, or even good, campaigner.

Forget about it. It’s not going to happen.

Hunter is a fantastic campaigner. What he isn’t is a celebrity or a moderate that gets lotsa attention from the media and lotsa money from republican big $$ folks.
