I remember growing up the dust storms we’d have just before the rains started - and how awful they smelled. I don’t know if it was creosote, or greasewood, or what - but the winds would come in from the farm lands west of 79th Ave. and they just plain stank! And no, it wasn’t fertilizer...
Now, the pool I had down here had a different problem. The neighbor had desert broom blooming around July, and my pool filter and skimmer would fill up with that cottony fluff that they shed.
