Who the hell said Reagan Democrats liked Paul? Libertarians love the guy, and the nutroots love the guy. And that’s about it.

"More slander from the troll..."

From Wikipedia...

Projection:

"In psychology, psychological projection (or projection bias) is a defense mechanism in which one attributes to others one’s own unacceptable or unwanted thoughts or/and emotions. Projection reduces anxiety by allowing the expression of the unwanted subconscious impulses/desires without letting the ego recognize them. The theory was developed by Sigmund Freud and further refined by his daughter Anna Freud."

The truth becomes "crawfishing" to you because you and your ilk are misrepresenting and mischaracterizing the truth as an attempt to justify your character assasinations.

Presidential candidate Ron Paul says the U.S. is in "great danger" of a staged terror attack or [the stricken clause was not the actual direct question that Alex Jones asked Ron Paul, as inaccurately represented at the website] Gulf of Tonkin style provocation while also warning that a major collapse of the American economy is on the horizon.

Alex Jones [telephone interview]: "How much danger are we in now with the Homeland Security head feeling in his gut we are about to be hit. Republican Menos saying they need terror attacks they need Al Qaeda to hit us to be able to continue with the war...top military strategists saying it...."

"How much danger are we in of some new Gulf of Tonkin provocation?"

RON PAUL: I think we are in great danger of it; we're in danger in many ways.

The attack on our civil liberties here at home, the foreign policy that's in shambles, and our obligations overseas and commitment which endangers our troops and our national defense. So, everyday, we're in worse shape and right now there's an orchestrated effort to blame the Iranians for everything that's gone wrong in Iraq.

And we're quite concerned, many of us, that the attack will be on Iran, and that will confuse things and jeopardize so many more of our troops. So, I would say we're in a much greater danger than we've been even four or five years ago whether it's overseas or even by terrorists here at home because I just think the policies are seriously flawed.

“This is Freerepublic, and you just posted a pro-Ron Paul thread”

These Paulistinians just don’t get it. FR is a conservative site, not a Libertarian site. Two very, very different groups.

Not only did you not dispute what he said, but the other stuff is just as much barf-alert material as his other idiotic statements

Who’s threatening anything?

The original post is a link to a newspaper article. I tried and tried, yet can’t perceive a link as threatening.

Ron Paul is running on the GOP ticket, and is currently a Republican Representative in Texas.

I guess YOU don’t get it.

Ronald Ernest Paul (born August 20, 1935) is a 10th-term Congressman from Lake Jackson, Texas, a member of the Republican Party, a physician, and a candidate for the 2008 presidential election. He has represented Texas’s 14th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives since 1997 and represented Texas’s 22nd district in 1976 and from 1979 to 1985. He earned the nickname “Dr. No” because he is a medical doctor who votes against any bill he believes violates the Constitution.[1] On March 12, 2007, Paul announced his candidacy for the 2008 presidential election seeking the nomination of the Republican Party.

You misrepresented what Ron Paul was asked and what he said.

What I posted is a 100% accurate transcription of the tape in the interview.

Likely that’s why you claim it doesn’t “dispute” what you CLAIM he said.

Got it. They will be referred to as Paulistinians from now on :)

Ron Paul gets interviewed by a 911 kook-conspiracy nutball, i.e., Alex Jones, one day after Cindy Sheehan's interview, while he helps propagate a "Gulf of Tonkin" conspiracy, and they wonder why we question them posting on here?

You know damned well that Ron Paul blamed America for Islamic hate, and propagated a "Gulf of Tonkin" conspiracy.

Lormand, you know I like and respect you. You are far too smart to fall for a rival's characterization of Paul.

Try listening to what he says and not what people say he says.

“I guess YOU don’t get it.”

Save it, Paulbearer.

He ran as a Libertarian for President, has never severed his ties with that party, and blames US foreign policy for Islamic terrorism. And I’m sick of the damn nutroots and libertarians that constantly carry his water like some deranged cult member. You people spend hours inflating his value on the Internet, and yet the real world isn’t fooled. He has less than 1% support among GOP voters.

You want to follow a whackjob, fine, have at it. It proves there’s no limit to stupidity in any party. But the rest of us are tired of being spammed with this sh!t.

Because she’s comedy gold! You should see today’s thread, where with a perfectly straight face she claims that zero criminality is associated with the Clinton regime.

You talk the talk, but can you walk the walk?

The fatwa declared against the US by OBL in 1998
asserts the reason for his fatwa was due to american intervention/occupation in the middle east.

OBL, with the support of the cia formed al qeda to fight russian intervention in afghanistan. Later, he turned his eyes toward america to see the US equally evil in his view. (Sorta like the dog that turns on his master, biting the hand that fed him.)

The point is, since you are not convinced that US intervention in the middle east may have caused us to be attacked on 911, (inspite of OBLs’ fatwa declaration listing the this as cause,)what, in your opinion, caused al qeda muslim jihadists to attack us?

This is a Ron Paul thread, therefore, it is you who decided to spam the thread.

I’m no Paul bearer. Unlike you, I believe that everyone has the right to be heard and go through an honest vetting process.

You should be more concerned that those whom you want elected follow and adhere to the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and desires to keep America sovereign. Ron Paul is closest to standing up for this high bar than any person currently running.

read it and weep

I think you are in Houston, but do you know who Alex Jones is?

If not, he has hundreds of minions here around Austin with "911 was in inside job" stickers all over their volvos.

For Ron Paul to allow himself to be on this show zaps what little respect I had for him.

The day before this interview, Cindy Sheehan was on the same show.

Everything he has said, is logical considering the company he is keeping.

I may have French blood, but I don't surrender or take threats from those who want to murder or enslave us.

Since the Koran was written, Islamist will make any excuse to attack and conquer. Seeing it in any other way is suicide.

Absolutely, and instinctively.
