The border is a glaring failure. The damage already done is unacceptable. The damage that continues and may yet increase is criminal neglect IMO. If someone’s job is to uphold our laws and they don’t do it, it is neglect.

You’re not the only one who sees it that way, but the GOP and the President think they need to pander politically to certain voting blocks. In the meantime they attempt to patronize their base and alienate people with comments such as from Bush referring to the Minutemen as “vigilantes” or threats such as “We’ll deal with them next”, referring to those demanding action.

They hear the screams, but hearing is not listening, and in 2008 when they sink the GOP and the MSM will have one thing in common when it comes to their analysis of why they failed, both will blame Iraq.
