That won't make any difference - there is nothing material on Earth that they care about.
That's simply not true. With the possible exception of the Jews (and then it depends on which Jews, because there are definitely Law-oriented Jews who are not part of the exception), no religion on earth is wedded so closely to a single geographical location as Islam is to Mecca. It's one of the pillars of the Religion of Piss, the pilgrimage to the black rock, or black turd, or whatever it is they march around, wailing and moaning for days on end, before returning home to beat their wives and rape little boys and girls.

Erase Mecca and you essentially end Islam.

As of today, there are only three potential sources of nukes: Russia, Pakistan and North Korea. We have a tight relationship with Pakistan regarding monitoring their stockpile. We know what capabilities the North Koreans have and it is highly unlikely they could (or would) source nukes to al Qaeda. That leaves Russia. Since 1992, we have had a cooperative (but quiet) relationship with the Russians regarding their stockpiles. Again, it is fairly unlikely that a warhead or tactical field nuke could end up in al Qaeda’s hands. Much more likely in my view are radiological (dirty) bombs or bioterrorism. That is what counter-terroism personnel in most large cities have been gearing up for, not nukes.

I agree.

Someday, this will become the climax in the war with Islam.

The defining moment through which the West declares that it intends to win....
