IMO Debka has good connections to things Israeli. In the past that meant things Middle East, but now I don’t have the sense the Mossad is as good as it was, and their concerns are not always congruent with ours. So I don’t think DEBKA’s report about OBL and Zawahiri is anything more than ill informed speculation.

One note. If this were to be true and we scratched both bad guys, the pressure from the Dems to not only leave Iraq, but end the GWOT would be enormous. From an Israeli viewpoint that might not be a bad thing as it may free them from any U.S. constraints on their operations.
