Saudi Beheadings on the Rise Again

Saudi maniacs behead teenage girl, nothing to see here, the Saudis are our allies in the WOT.

"The Saudi authorities are flouting an international prohibition on the execution of child offenders by even imposing a death sentence on a defendant who was reportedly 17 at the time of the alleged crime," she said.

The silence is deafening.

Apparently this is supposed to happen this week.

Rizana Nafeek

17 years old Muslim girl from Sri Lanka.
Sent to Saudi Arabia as a nanny.
She was assigned 10 children to look after.
Had to get up 3AM to work until late at night.
She has been accused of strangling a four month old infant in Saudi Arabia.
She was then sentenced a death penalty of beheading according to the Saudi Arabian High Court.
No one knows whether she committed the crime or not.

The poor girl sent to build a new house for family and good life for her brothers and sisters shouldn't have to die because of a misunderstanding. It is very very possible she did not a crime.

It is possible the girl did murder the child.

Sri Lankan authorities say that it will appeal the ruling against a Sri Lankan house maid by Saudi High Courts.

A spokesman for the Sri Lankan embassy in Saudi Arabia said that it has requested legal assistance from the Sri Lankan foreign employment bureau (SLFEB) in order to appeal on behalf of Rizana Nasik, from Muttur.

Labour Secretary K B G Premadasa speaking to BBC Sandeshaya from Riyadh said that the maid was convicted of strangling a four months old infant.

`The High Court in Daw Admi has sentenced to behead her` he said.

19 year old Rizana Nasik `had committed the crime in February 2005 when she was 17 years old,` courts was told.

In January Saudi Arabia beheaded four Sri Lankans despite protests from international human rights organisations.

Minister of foreign employment Keheliya Rambukwella responded by saying, ` those who go to work in foreign countries should abide by the law of the nation`.

I agree. Certainly the Saudis have forensic pathologists to determine cause of death, and the amount of force need to strangle versus “stroke” a choking child’s neck. I am suspicious we are not getting the dead baby’s side of the story.

Just a reminder we scornfully reject EU, Amnesty International, etc objections to our own death penalty. And rightly so even while admitting it is not perfectly applied in every case.

I wouldn’t get on too high a horse about the Saudis and their view of what law is right for their own people.

President George Bush today commented on the recent terrorist attacks in Saudi Arabia and efforts to fight terrorists in the kingdom. He once again commended Saudi Arabia for its work with the United States in combating global terrorism. The president was participating in a White House ceremony marking the 30th anniversary of the “All-Volunteer Force.”

Nafeek was found guilty of murder with no legal representation.

This is yet another opportunity for "moderate Muslims" to come forth and denounce what's being done, and what do you hear? (...crickets...) There are no moderate Muslims. Shariah law is what the religion of peace wants to be put in place throughout the world. I see protesters in front of cameras all the time telling us to get out of Iraq, which is the same as telling the US to quit fighting against this view of world domination. Where do these liberals stand on this case?

17 of the 19 9/11 hijackers were Saudis, Saudi is the greatest threat we face in the region, but some people let oil interests get in the way of national security.

The right thing to would have been to appropriate Saudi and Iraqi oild fields as reparations for the Kuwait invasion and 9/11.

This is probably what is in store after the Bush dynasty finally leaves.
