GEORGE GALLOWAY, the MP who campaigned against the Iraq war, is to be suspended from parliament over his links to the United Nations oil-for-food programme in Iraq.
The parliamentary standards watchdog will rule this week that Galloway failed properly to declare his links to a charitable appeal partially funded from money made by selling Iraqi oil under Saddam Hussein, according to a source close to the inquiry. The one-month suspension for Galloway, often referred to as

Ha ha ha...hilarious. After all his nose-thumbing to the congress. (remember he wrote a book about his trip). What an ego-maniac.
The debate where Hitchens flattened him is a classic.
Great Britain Met 'to investigate Galloway for taking cash from Saddam'
Hate cleric allowed into UK(championed by Galloway, of course)
Thank you! Good to have the memory refreshed on Georgie’s crimes.
But, he strenuously denies it! A one month suspension is what he received. He must have Sandy Burglars lawyer, he should be doing some major time in the poky.
You're quite welcome and I'm delighted that you've found it to be helpful.
I must confess that those two threads represent only a couple grains of sand on the Waikiki Beach of Galloway's crimes and improprieties.
Doing a Free Republic Keyword Search of "Galloway" yields pages and pages and pages......
He's truly a vile person, and a proud, shameless supporter of the Islamofascists.
Galloway deserves to hang.
I have no respect for any man in a public position acting like a leashed dog on British TV.
Precisely.
I know Hitchens is a Stalinist Soviet Lover, but I just had to like him when I listened to that debate...Good God, talk about dismantling someone effortlessly.
worth repeating
I’m surprised that the Times doesn’t mention that Galloway won a 150,000 Pound reward in a libel suit brought by him against the Daily Telegraph. The Telegraph had reported that he had received money from Saddam. Galloway went judge shopping and used the infamous Mr. Justice Eady who ruled in his favor (as he has done in cases involving Arabs who have sued for libel and defamation of character). The Telegraph then argued that the decision did great damage to the principle of freedom of expression in the U.K. When the Telegraph tried to appeal to a higher court Judge Eady tried to block the effort. Thus it now appears that the House of Commons has taken on itself the task of reversing a great injustice. Thank God.
Look how little his feet are! Ya know what that means.
He’ll love his one month suspension. It will give him even more time to give speeches and to roil the waters. He’s an a$$hat!
Hopefully, Norm Coleman will issue a press release and impersonate Rush Limbaugh and say.."See, I told you so!"
Please provide evidence for your claim.
Gallow-way suspended. Now if only he’d been suspended by a Mr. Lynch...
