If it transposes a picture sequence like this to sex up a story about the Queen by transmitting an outright falsehood, just think what it is doing in the Middle East.

Yep... only fools believe the BBC on anything of importance.

i heard phillips on the o’reilly radio show at least 6 months ago. she’s correct about multiculturalism.

she’s the author of the book “londonstan”.

from her website:

“The suicide bombings carried out in London in 2005 by British Muslims revealed an alarming network of Islamist terrorists and their sympathizers. Under the noses of British intelligence, London became the European hub for the promotion, recruitment and financing of Islamist terror and extremism - so much so that it has been mockingly dubbed ‘Londonistan’. In this ground-breaking book, Melanie Phillips pieces together the story of how Londonistan developed as a result of the collapse of British self-confidence and national identity and its resulting paralysis by multiculturalism and appeasement. The result is an ugly climate in Britain of irrationality and defeatism, which now threatens to undermine the alliance with America and imperil the defence of the free world.”

>> The BBC had falsified the sequence of events - at least in the video trailer it made available to the press - to make a better story.

At least there appears to be some sense of shame no doubt contrived. The obnoxious David Gregory comes to mind.

This isn’t news to many of us Yanks. We’ve seen and read the anti-American bias at the Beeb, and even heard an internal report confirmed this. The problem is with others to whom this is “news” such as the author of this article. Us unwashed ex-colonistas are miles ahead on reading the Beeb and its slant. How about the coverage of Israel Mr. BBC General Manager? Any “slight of truth” there too?

“The BBC has a world-wide reputation for integrity and truth-telling.”

My family used to look forward to BBC Masterpiece Theater productions on PBS. Now I shun them. The last one’s I saw seemed politically correct. It was like they were trying to be hip and with it. I managed a few Jane (you ignorant slut) Tennison episode fragments. They even managed to ruin Sherlock Holmes, played by Jeremy Brett, in an episode where Sherlock was dumber than the villain, and where Holmes chose to cover-up a premeditated murder. So out of character. Now it’s “MasterPOS Theater” as far as I’m concerned.

The BBC's trustees have asked the Director General Mark Thompson to explain what the hell went on here.

Back in the day, Mark Thompson would have been beheaded by now - or at least confined to the Tower. Where is Henry VIII when you need him?

Falsehood and misrepresentation have become the hallmarks of the modern media. Those same traits will also feature prominently in their epitaphs.

No not really, at least not outside of the liberal echo chamber.

Not to defend the BBC, but at least they apologized and did so quickly. Contrast that with how CBS handled the fake Guard documents. It would seem the Brits don’t have it quite as bad as us when it comes to the media. But perhaps it being the Queen and all, they had little choice in the matter, but to come clean.

Business as usual at the BBC. They distorts facts/slants news/and lies all the time...in matters of great substance. Why should the queen expect to be treated differently?
