"If Home Depot is serious about protecting the environment, they must stop advertising on Fox -- a network that consistently spreads misinformation about and denies the existence of global warming," says a petition on www.foxattacks.com.
Since the dawn of the information age, groups have tried to manipulate news organizations by going after their advertisers. The first casualty was in the Marlboro Man and smoking. That battle still rages with hearings on Capitol Hill regarding the use of smoking in movies and the manipulation of the ratings system to appease the anti smoking crowd. Even in the recent attacks on the Fox News Channel, groups have used Rupert Murdochs relationship with cigarette maker Philip Morris (PM) and how that led to Murdochs vast media empire ignoring stories about the negative effects of smoking. It isn't enough, however, to try to control the behavior of the American people by controlling the legal products they have access to in the marketplace. The left wants to control what you think and read by controlling your information sources.

I watch HGTV.....
I can’t LOOK at Colmes.
Colmes is an embarrassingly shrill parody of a liberal, so you would think he’d be good for a laugh, but I agree that he makes the show unwatchable.
Personally I get a kick out of watching Colmes. Like most of his type he usually looks like he is expecting someone to grab him and start B***h Slapping him.
“Fox needs to change their name to CNN...Celebrity News Network”
I thought CNN stood for Clinton News Network?
The irony of a filmmaker wanting to limit the press is stunning. All commies need to censor speech and all other freedoms since their ideas don’t work.
Pray for W and Our Troops
These are the same fools who think the fairness doctrine gives them 100% exclusivity of “the message”.
this attack is proof of the “jamming” intent of the left.
If there’s any complaint against against Fox it’s an excess of glitz and cleavage at the expense of hard news. If Anna Nicole dies you know every night Fox will spend an inordinate amount of time with super hot info babes, with low cut bodices breathlessly giving us a minute to minute update - wait a second, I like that stuff. Never mind.
The loonly left regards the Wall Street Journal just as they do Fox, except its audience is considerably smaller.
With one of the tabloidian stories earlier in the year, maybe even ANS, both FNC and CNN dropped the story to lesser prominence. pMSNBC stuck with it as the Number One story of the year, and gained in the ratings while the other two lost viewers.
While it's unfortunate, you can't really blame FNC and CNN for competing for the ad dollars brought in by the number of viewers.
I cut back my boob tube news in general, FNC in particular, for a number of reasons, illegal immigration, Shep, Geraldo, overly tabloid, etc.
Well it does...Then they can change it to....CNNWW..Celebirity News Not Worth Watching
Thank God for FOX news! No, it isn’t perfect and no, it isn’t as conservative as some think or others wish it were, but it’s the only “game in town” when it comes to a news channel that is at least trying to provide “both sides”. I’m more than willing to put up with a few extra car chases, and crimes of the hour to hear presentations that are more “fair and balanced” than anything else out there. If we can agree on nothing else I think we can agree that there will be no other outlet that can come close to what they have been able to accomplish.
The socialists cannot stand being questioned.
