A man accused of driving a car that hit a 6-year-old boy earlier this week is an illegal immigrant and will face deportation proceedings when released from state custody, federal officials said.
"(U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement)placed a detainer on him so that if he is released from state custody for any reason, he will be released to ICE, said Carl Rusnok, spokesman for the immigration agency's Dallas-based central region.
Gustavo Aldolfo, 26, was arrested after being accused of running over Orlando Carrion as the boy rode his bicycle in southwest Oklahoma City on Monday. Carrion was listed in good condition late Wednesday afternoon at The Children's Hospital at OU Medical Center, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Aldolfo was being held Wednesday night at the Oklahoma County jail in lieu of $8,000 bail on complaints of leaving the scene of an injury accident, having no driver's license, having no insurance and giving false information, according to jail records.
"If and when he does bond out ... he would be booked out of custody as a state inmate and booked in as a federal inmate, Oklahoma City police Sgt. Paco Balderrama said.
REally. Let’s one of us go to Mexico, run down a kid, run away and see what we get.

If the Feds are serious, this could be the start of something useful.
Maybe can’t deport ‘em all, but those who have broken the law at the local level, and get snared in the judicial system, definitely should be ticketed for back home.
Onece they satisfy the cause of local justice first.
Sounds like he's not getting out on anything.
These people need to start winding up missing.
Permanently missing.

My question exactly. We watched that story in shock last night on our local (OKC) news. It was obvious he was an illegal, but they were oh-so-careful not to put it quite that way—dancing all around the obvious. Not only an illegal, but from the footage we saw, probably a gangbanger too.
Build the fence but don’t stop there. Give every eighteen year old, (male and female) the option to either volunteer for the military or spend the equal amount of time in the border patrol at the same pay as a private. Let the professional BP be in charge. That should shut the illegal border crossing down and free more BP agents to hunt down and deport those already here.
Then the congress could devise an acceptable temporary worker program. The key word is TEMPORARY.
The piece of dirt they picked up out west over the missing little 12 year old girl, was a child molester, convicted of incest, and ordered deported after he left jail, he had been out of jail sometime but never deported. Don't have any faith in ICE or jerkoff.
He wasn’t the only one, either. They are avoiding saying that the drunk Hispanic man who ran over the two young men changing a tire on I-35 and then tried to run away is an illegal. He had two IDs in two different names.

First off, we would be arrested for being in their country illegally. That's probably ten years! Then, we'd do more time for having a false driver's license. That's got to be a minimum of twenty years! Running over a child. Expect to pay for that with your life! I'm joking about the punishment, but I'm probably not too far off.
