Even if he is wrong (and he probably is) about global warming, who can deny that he seems sincerely devoted to the best interests of mankind? The key word here is "seems."
Communists always seem to be looking out for our best interest when in reality they are looking out for themselves and their comrades, usually at the expense of others.

...who can deny that he seems sincerely devoted to the best interests of mankind? I can. Gore is a politician, thru and thru. He doesn't make a public step or a personal visit to the men's room without considering the political gain of the act.
There's a story about him during the recounts, standing in a room with his advisors. He drew a series of 4 circles one within another looking like a bulls eye. In the center he wrote ME, next out FAMILY, 3rd PARTY, and 4th NATION. And then he explained how to go about protesting the elections from the outside in, each layer to protect the next inner layer.

No politican has ever won an elective office based on enviromentalism, at least as it relates to the House or Senate on the Federal level, to my knowledge.
Gore might enter the race, no surprise there.
But given the numerous gaffes since the 2000 election cycle he won’t gain anywhere near the support he did then.
He can run, but he’ll never come close to winning again.

I can. Gore is a politician, thru and thru. He doesn't make a public step or a personal visit to the men's room without considering the political gain of the act. His lack of charitable donations while VP wasn't a smart political decision.

Funny how those interests of mankind coincide with the interests of his pocketbook.
