Bump for later read - looks like a good one.
Thanks dutchess and JH2 for another great Thursday analysis of the topic of the day.
So the Iraqis ARE stepping up to defend their own country. Their forces also led the very successful operation in Baquba, with American and allied forces in support.
This is just one sign of the progress were making. Remember when Anbar Province couldnt be controlled? Well, there is no Al Qaeda there now and its subdued. In Fallujah, where there were once 37 attacks per day, there is less than one per day. Some of those barely qualify theyre on the order of one guy with a pistol.
The journalists, however, wont venture outside their cushy hotel in Baghdad, and Baghdad is where were having the least success. For reasons of laziness and personal comfort, as well as ideology, they wont venture otu into the country to see the success.
After all, it might undermine their Dimmycrap friends effort to lose this war.
BTW, there is a word for trying to make your own country lose a war. The Dimmycraps objectively are giving aid and comfort to the enemy.
Another great one. Thanks.
