So the Iraqis ARE stepping up to defend their own country. Their forces also led the very successful operation in Baquba, with American and allied forces in support.

This is just one sign of the progress we’re making. Remember when Anbar Province “couldn’t be controlled”? Well, there is no Al Qaeda there now and it’s subdued. In Fallujah, where there were once 37 attacks per day, there is less than one per day. Some of those barely qualify — they’re on the order of one guy with a pistol.

The journalists, however, won’t venture outside their cushy hotel in Baghdad, and Baghdad is where we’re having the least success. For reasons of laziness and personal comfort, as well as ideology, they won’t venture otu into the country to see the success.

After all, it might undermine their Dimmycrap friends’ effort to lose this war.

BTW, there is a word for trying to make your own country lose a war. The Dimmycraps objectively are giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

Great analysis and your last line bears repeating over and over again!
