I live here with in one mile of the border. It used to be great going fishing on the All American Canal which separates the U.S. from Mexico. Try it now and you are putting your life on the line along with having your vehicle stolen.

If it isn't safe for our agents, who are armed, imagine for unarmed citizens.

Ugh, I can imagine. We are sixty miles north of the border. The whole area south of us has gone from being semi-pristine and VERY clean and safe to the horrors I don’t need to preach to the choir.

I posted on another thread this morning how I felt safe hiking and touring alone or with a dog, up until about eight years ago. Now, we’d better be armed and we don’t fish or camp anymore in that whole zone. Those are formerly beautiful public lands we pay for!!

The poor agents - every one I have ever met is clean-cut and polite; I don’t know how they do it. Especially with their own eating their own now.
