Here's some more info on the 240:
The M240, formally United States Machine Gun, 7.62mm, M240, is a family of belt-fed medium machine guns firing the 7.62 × 51 mm NATO cartridge (w/ M13 Link). It is a version of the Belgian FN MAG machine gun for the US army.

Thanks, SD,
I also checked it out on the net and found that it is the replacement for the M-60, (my personal favorite MG).
Cheers

The weapons should have been booby trapped. The resulting explosion would have elimintated the need to take anyone into custody. I wish our troops would just kill anyone brandishing a weapon and move on.

Yes, I enjoyed firing the M-60. It was a fun machine gun. The 240 Bravo is the weapon my son is manning on the turret of his Humvee. He’s had occasions to use that weapon, firing it in anger towards terrorists who fired upon his patrol. I only fired the M-60 on the range for qualification purposes.

The M-240 Bravo is also mounted on the turret of the Humvee.

IMPEACH CONGRESS!!!
The Iraqi Congress gets more done by 9:AM then the US Congress gets done in a term.
We want these people to set benchmarks? Shouldn't we have people who know what benchmarks are set them?
And I must ask:
Does the Constitution give Congress the authority to execute wars?
I am under the understanding that Congress votes for wars and then they fund them. I am under the understanding that the President listens to his Generals and makes decisions.
Something change around here? How can Congress pass laws the effect the execution of a war?
Seems to me that Congress is stepping over their boundaries set by the Constitution.
Don't we have a separation of powers?
HEY CONGRESS AND CODE PINK!!!
