We put ourselves in ‘this position’.
If anyone ever smoked pot sometime in the last half CENTURY, the GOP base won’t vote for them.
If the candidate has a divorce, or two, no once again.
If they dare to question the pro lifers, again no.
If they don’t go to Church each and every Sunday, again nope.
We’ve allowed the MSM to play ‘gotcha’ on ridiculous events from decades ago (see Romney’s dog in 1983 for a GREAT EXAMPLE of what I’m saying) and then whine when we get milk toast candidates?
Sheesh. We get the candidate we deserve, and once in a great while a good one (Reagan) slips in.
“Its shameful that the gop puts us in this position.”
You have it so assbackwards and it’s the reason why we’re in this mess now. We have let the GOP dictate the rules and they haved reamed us.
We have to be careful about how much of this slamming of every single candidate is coming from the Democratic strategy. Personally, Democrats or not, I will puke if Rudy wins the primaries, but I will still hold my nose and vote for him in the general election. There is no way I will in anyway be responsible for Hillary winning the election. Because that would be just as evil as voting for her.
