I saw this on France 2 TV and could not believe it. The effete French newscasters were having trouble believing it, too. This guy takes no prisoners. If he prevails, they will be rid of their Islamic terrorism problem in six months. Civil liberties aside, it is reassuring to see that at least one Western leader understands the seriousness of the problem.

Not a bad idea, IMO.

Think of it as the Hal Holbrook side of Magnum Force or Operation Phoenix, and all of the court costs that would be saved. These people are about the violent overthrow of their host countries, and are not merely criminal-for-profit.

"Is Germany Ready for Targeted Killings?"

This is simply not possible. Throughout history, Germans have been a peaceful and loving people. Whenever I think of Germans and their history, I get mental images of bunny rabbits and butterflies.

I have never seen the danger of assassinations as more dangerous than other forms of warfare.

It is just more honest.

Perhaps that is what makes it dangerous.

In Mein Kampf, Hitler predicted that he would prevail against the establishment because he was willing to use unlimited terror and they weren’t.

This is the riddle of civilization.

Ironic that Schäuble, himself the victim of an attempted assassination (which left him permanently paralyzed from the waist down), should support assassinating suspected terrorists!

Radical Islam is at war with the west. How many times do we have to hear the rage in their voices? They are simply taking advantage of the West’s democratic systems to spread their message of hate. They are not holding back in their attempts to organize plots that would kill as many westerners as possible. All around the world they are striking. How do we fight this war?....Wait until they strike and kill hundreds here? It is an idea whose time has come. If it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck....kill the damn thing!

The U.S. has pursued some targeted killings of terrorists abroad. This has been done in places like the Gulf States and Africa. Freepers will remember stories about drones firing missiles at cars full of terrorists in such places, and I’m sure there were many more such stories that went untold.

I believe we also backed the Ethiopians in their campaign against the terrorists in the Horn of Africa.

Doing it domestically is much more questionable, since domestically you have the option of arresting them and putting them away.

But, yes, we are actively involved in a war with these people, a war of their making. These are not just potential terrorists, they are terrorists actively going about their business of trying to kill us. We just don’t fully admit it.

Schäuble is the .1% there that:

a) Can think
b) Has balls

Will the oblivious herd hear him? No.
