Campaign Manager, Chief Strategist for McCain resign Tue Jul 10 2007 11:23:10 ET
ARLINGTON, VA - Terry Nelson, Campaign Manager and John Weaver, Chief Strategist for John McCain 2008 issued the following statements:
"This morning I informed Senator McCain that I would be resigning from his presidential campaign, effective immediately. It has been a tremendous honor to serve Senator McCain and work on his campaign. I believe John McCain is the most experienced and prepared candidate to represent the Republican Party and defeat the Democratic nominee next year." - Terry Nelson, Campaign Manager
"As of today, I have resigned my position as chief strategist to John McCain's presidential campaign. It has been my honor and a distinct privilege to serve someone who has always put our country first. I believe that most Americans will come to the conclusion that I have long known there is only one person equipped to serve as our nation's chief executive and deal with the challenges we face, and that person is John McCain." - John Weaver, Chief Strategist
END
There’s no coming back from where he is now.
If he’s so great, why’d you quit?
The party’s over...
The manager and strategist aren’t the problem. You can’t put lipstick on a pig. CFR, Gang of 14, Immigration, et al sunk McFlame.
Rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic
Looks like the campaign is wrapping up. They’ve already laid off a bunch of staffers.
Nelson lost McCain’s strawberries, meanwhile McCain lost his marbles.
Like the band on The Titanic, I would imagine that Robert Novak and the staff of the New York Post will bravely continue to play ditties as the ship sinks.
...if McCain is as great as they say, why are they leaving such a remarkable figure....*sarc*......what a bunch of politico double talk......in other words.....McCain is impossible to work for, is too rigid and has no chance in hell of winning....
Walk away John.
Anyone know different.
The chickems are going home to roost. (That’s right...chickems).
Stick a fork in him already, he’s done.
These must be the two who were advising him on his disastrous immigration stance.
The rats are leaving the sinking SS McVain........
No reasons given ??
Maybe it was actually "This morning Senator McCain informed me that I would be resigning from his presidential campaign, effective immediately."
.
sigh this is an faux news alert also...everybody panic!
And so, the rolling over of the McCain campaign into the Fred Thompson campaign continues, as I said from the beginning it would.
"... well, was it maybe something I said...?"
